Social Innovation Academy (SIA) and the Business Incubation Center BIC-University of Balochistan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in social entrepreneurship, innovation, youth empowerment, and ecosystem development across Balochistan.

Signed by Ali Zain Ul Abidin, CEO of SIA, and Dr. Furqan Ul Haq Siddiqui, Director of BIC – University of Balochistan, the partnership aims to promote entrepreneurship development, capacity building, mentorship opportunities, community engagement, and innovation-driven initiatives.

By combining academic excellence with practical innovation and social impact expertise, SIA and BIC – University of Balochistan aim to strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape of Balochistan and contribute to the development of an inclusive, resilient, and innovation-driven future.

This MoU marks an important step toward building stronger partnerships that empower youth, encourage innovation, and create lasting social and economic impact throughout the province.

The Center for Entrepreneurship - University of Loralai, in collaboration with the Social Innovation Academy (SIA), successfully organized the Business Idea Competition in the University of Loralai, providing a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial potential.

The event brought together aspiring students, entrepreneurs, who presented creative and impactful business concepts, demonstrating the talent, innovation, and problem-solving abilities of the youth. Through healthy competition and constructive engagement, participants gained valuable exposure and insights into the entrepreneurial journey.

We extend our appreciation to all participants, judges, faculty members, and organizers for contributing to the success of this initiative. Events like these play a vital role in fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the university and beyond.

One of the most forward-looking discussions at the International SIA Summit 2.0 was the panel discussion 2 centered around the theme: Digital Daughters: How 110 Million+ Women Can Leapfrog Economic Barriers with Tech.

This session brought together an exceptional group of leaders and innovators Mahnoor Salman, Aimen Rafiq A., Ahsan Rasheed Khan, Khuram Idrees, and Ayesha Hassan each sharing valuable insights on the transformative role of technology in advancing women’s economic empowerment and digital inclusion in Pakistan.

The panel was thoughtfully moderated by Amna Masood, who led an engaging and impactful conversation around the opportunities technology creates for women to overcome systemic barriers, access new markets, build digital skills, and participate meaningfully in the future economy.

From digital entrepreneurship and financial inclusion to innovation, education, and access to emerging technologies, the discussion emphasized the urgent need to create inclusive digital ecosystems where women can thrive, lead, and drive sustainable change.

More than just a panel discussion, it was a powerful reminder that technology has the potential to unlock opportunities for millions of women and reshape the future of economic participation in Pakistan.
