Shape the Future of Nutrition and Health at UCP
The BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics and MS Human Nutrition and Dietetics programs at University of Central Punjab are designed to develop competent nutrition professionals with strong clinical insight and innovation driven skills.
Students benefit from state of the art laboratories, structured clinical training in real healthcare settings, and extensive hands on experience in food innovation and commercialization. The programs emphasize clinical nutrition and diet therapy, public health nutrition, and functional food development, while nurturing entrepreneurial and professional competencies essential for modern practice.
With expert faculty, modern facilities, and strong industry and clinical linkages, UCP prepares graduates who are practice ready, research oriented, and capable of creating meaningful impact in healthcare, industry, and entrepreneurship.

ORIC–UCP conducted an official visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) on 30th January 2026 to advance research commercialization and strengthen industry–academia linkages. The meeting, chaired by Mr. Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh (Senior Vice President, LCCI), was attended by Mr. Omer Saleem (Convener, Industry–Academia Linkages), Mr. Kamran Saeed (Director R&D), and executive committee members. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Director ORIC, presented UCP’s key commercialization initiatives and multidisciplinary prototypes across Food, Pharmaceutical, and Engineering sectors. The UCP delegation included Dr. Ali Ahmad (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Kanza Aziz Awan (Associate Professor, FOST), Hamid Bilal (Principal Lecturer, FHSS), Dr. Arsalan Tariq Rana (Associate Professor, FHSS), Ms. Ayesha Khalil (Principal Lecturer, FHSS), and Ms. Yakhshi Saleem (Principal Lecturer, FMMC), along with ORIC staff Malik Abdul Raheem and Dr. Faiza Anum. During the meeting, LCCI appreciated UCP’s innovation efforts and offered sector‑specific meetups for research commercialization, along with opportunities for UCP to participate in upcoming project exhibitions at LCCI and LCCI‑organized startup competitions. The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to enhance collaboration, accelerate commercialization pathways, and translate UCP’s research into impactful market‑ready solutions.
