Nowadays, conjunctivitis is an outbreak in various cities in Pakistan including Karachi,Lahore, Rawalpindi, Narowal and Sheikhupura

Naegleria fowleri (N.fowleri) is a free-living, one-celled parasitic amoeba
It is also known as Brain Eating Amoeba
N.fowleri is commonly found in hot fresh water bodies like Geothermal Water,Lakes, Ponds,Water tanks, Swimming Pools
The only way of the N.fowleri entry is our nasal passage,during diving, swimming,or during some religious practices,through our olfactory nerve (helps in smelling) to brain
It causes an infection Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM) in our body
Symptoms: Its symptoms include severe headache,nausea, vomiting and some intense symptoms including stiff neck, seizures,coma
Its symptoms are shown after 24 hours,and stay in body 7-12 days
Prevention: Avoid Swimming,Diving,and any activity that causes entry of water in nose
Fortunately,it is a RARE DISEASE but unfortunately it is FATAL
Diagnosis: CSF Biopsy,Biopsy
Treatment: Miltefosine has the ability to kill free living amoeba and also Naegleria fowleri

Hemodialysis:
In the case of Renal Failure, patients need proper care and treatment to remove nitrogenous wastes e.g Urea, Uric Acid, Creatinine, Ions, and some other metabolites
In this technique, the patient's blood is carried through a tube into the Dialyzer, and on the other hand, the dialysis fluid is present around the tubes because these tubes act as a semi-permeable membrane, and wastes are diffused into the Dialysis Fluid
In this way, your blood is cleaned, and used dialysis fluid is drained out
This process needs reduplication twice a week
This process is carried out at the proper Dialysis Center
