🎯 POSITION: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (ENGLISH LINGUISTICS)
• Number of Posts: Two (02)
• Nature of Post: Full-Time / Permanent
• Specialization: English Linguistics / Applied Linguistics / TESOL

📜 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (Strictly As per HEC Guidelines):
• Qualification: PhD in English Linguistics/Applied Linguistics/TESOL or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university or a postgraduate institution, OR 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience.
• Publications: A minimum of 10 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC-recognized journals (Y or X category).

💼 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Academic & Graduate Supervision: Deliver high-quality teaching and primary thesis supervision to MPhil and PhD scholars.
2. Research & Journals: Manage the existing Departmental Research Journal and spearhead the launch/HEC registration of a Second Journal; write competitive grant proposals.
3. Infrastructure & Capacity Building: Help design and establish a state-of-the-art Digital Language Laboratory and support courses for the USA Centre for Language & Communication Excellence.
4. Institutional Governance: Execute strategic plans for departmental promotion, workshops, and visibility.

• Counsel students in selecting the most suitable academic programs according to their interests, aptitude, and career goals.
• Guide students regarding future career opportunities, professional growth, and employment prospects after graduation.
• Provide continuous academic counselling and mentorship during the students’ educational journey.
• Assist students in selecting relevant courses based on their skills, abilities, and academic performance.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely academic support and recommendations.
• Coordinate with academic departments to ensure proper student guidance and development.
• Conduct awareness sessions regarding academic planning, career pathways, and professional opportunities.

Qualification & Requirements:
• Minimum Master’s Degree from an HEC recognized institution.
• Preference will be given to candidates having experience in academic counselling, student affairs, career services, or educational management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of academic programs and career planning.
