Sending Salawat and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is one of the most beautiful acts of worship and a means of earning Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and blessings.

Allah ﷻ commands the believers to send blessings and peace upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:

“Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and greet him with peace.”
— Surah Al-Ahzab 33:56

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also encouraged his Ummah to frequently send Salawat upon him. Every time a believer sends one Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ, Allah grants ten blessings upon that person. This is a great virtue and an opportunity to remember and express our love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Especially on Friday, we should increase our Salawat upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and make it a regular part of our daily life.

🌙 Dua-e-Istikhara | Simple Method & Virtue

Dua-e-Istikhara is a beautiful Sunnah taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for seeking Allah’s guidance when making an important decision.

🕌 How to Perform Istikhara

1. Make Wudu.

2. Pray two Rak‘ahs of voluntary (Nafl) prayer.

3. After the prayer, recite the Dua-e-Istikhara with sincerity.

4. When you reach “هَذَا الْأَمْرَ” (this matter), mention the matter for which you are seeking guidance.

5. Place your trust in Allah and proceed with what becomes easier and more suitable. A dream or special sign is not a necessary condition of Istikhara.

✨ Virtue of Istikhara
Sayyiduna Jabir رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to teach his Companions Istikhara just as he used to teach them a Surah from the Qur’an.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 1162)

Istikhara teaches us to seek Allah’s knowledge and power because Allah knows what we do not know, and He is the Knower of the unseen.
