What is a Moot?
A moot is an academic mock court in which law students try a hypothetical case for practice. It involves a hypothetical court hearing in which participants analyse a legal problem, research the relevant law, prepare written submissions and present oral arguments before a jury or a panel of judges.
The whole purpose of these moot courts is to prepare the students for their field and to acquaint them with skills essential in a good lawyer.
