ITU's OPTICA and SPIE student chapters are thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Maker Faire Trieste hosted at Piazza Unità d’Italia, Trieste. This joint event will be carried out by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy, and SPIE/OPTICA ITU student chapters.

With the aim to build a larger workforce to drive lasers and photonics research to higher heights in the future in the Italy, the event will focus on promoting new theoretical and experimental methods in science and technology.

Being a leading research university in Pakistan, ITU is privileged to be part of the event, where our faculty member Dr. Muhammad Qasim Mehmood and ICTP’s Post Doctoral Fellow will be the advisors of our team while our research students and staff will represent and showcase their R&D projects.
