Latest feedback of PRC - Intro Accounting students is that the MCQs in exams are changing every month. There are a lot of practice questions in the market and lots of students are practicing those questions. I think it’s GOOD to practice but BAD to rely only on the practice of JUST these questions. One student mentioned that 95% of the paper was totally new questions. Hence I always stress to my students to first get understanding of the concepts via lectures and practice questions. Then on exam day you will have BEST chance of passing any type of unseen questions!
All the best

Get this question a lot and it’s a popular question in ICAP exams.
There are 4 depreciation methods ( Straight Line, Reducing Balance, Sum of digits and Output/Machine method )
In first 3 depreciation is charged on time basis and only in 4th one depreciation is charged on output based. It means that in first 3 method’s depreciation will be charged at end of the year regardless of whether it has been used or not ( because time =one year has passed). In 4th method depreciation will be charged at end of year only if it has been used and in proportion to use. If asset hasn’t been used, then there will be no depreciation.

For a productive day , start your mornings as early as possible and enjoy the peace and quiet nature has to offer in the morning.
My productive day starts with getting up as early as possible, followed by namaz, reading a book, exercise and then reviewing my high priorities for the day. It’s not easy at first but the rewards of this routine are very worth it !

Important announcement for the students of AFC December attempt and CAF Mar 22 attempt. ICAP has lifted the restriction of minimum 3 paper policy for upcoming CAF March 22 attempt only. Students can appear in fewer than three papers if they wish. What does this mean for you ?
1) If you are AFC - Dec 21 attempt student your obvious first focus should be on clearing your AFC exam in December. For AFC December students, PAC will arrange a special section for you in which you will be able to appear for selected CAF papers from Group A in March 22 attempt. For this a detailed counselling session will be held with you early next week so we can discuss which subject to go for and how to plan this time.
2) If you are a CAF student and had not started studying for this attempt or you dropped early in the session this a good chance to appear for 1 or 2 papers in CAF March 22 attempt and ease your journey of CAF. If you are already studying 3 papers and they are going well you should put in full efforts to maintain the momentum of appearing in 3 papers for March 22 attempt.
Best of luck to you all and any questions please do ask!
Important Alert
Students who complete CAF and joining training firms between 1st March 2022 to 1st March 2023 are not required to do PCSC/PPE or Microsoft course.
Important updates from today’s CAF orientation by Jafar Sb
1) CAF students must give minimum 3 papers in any attempt going forward
2) Group restriction of passing 2 papers of Group A to attempt Group B will NOT apply to existing CAF students for next 2 attempts.
3) PCSC (50 hours course) should be completed before February ( including writing skill test in December). Students who do not complete PCSC and pass writing skills test by February will otherwise have to complete PPE which is a 100 hour course. So it is better to complete pcsc now ( orientation is on 30 September in PAC )
