💧 Which Countries Have the Most Freshwater Per Person? 🌍
Freshwater is one of Earth’s most valuable resources. It supports our drinking water, agriculture, industries, ecosystems, and everyday life. But here’s the surprising part: **freshwater is not distributed equally around the world.**
According to the World Bank figures provided, the amount of renewable freshwater available **per person** varies dramatically from country to country.
🌊 **Top countries by renewable freshwater resources per capita:**
🇷🇺 **Russia — 29,895 m³ per person**
Russia tops the list thanks to its enormous territory, extensive rivers, lakes, wetlands, and other freshwater resources.
🇧🇷 **Brazil — 26,918 m³**
Home to the Amazon River and vast river systems, Brazil has an extraordinary supply of freshwater supported by abundant rainfall.
🇦🇺 **Australia — 18,909 m³**
Despite its large arid regions, Australia has substantial freshwater resources relative to its population, although availability differs greatly by region.
🇺🇸 **United States — 8,437 m³**
The U.S. has considerably more renewable freshwater per person than many other developed countries.
