Half of Brits believe that trail hunting should be outlawed 🚫

The UK Government has recently proposed a ban on the sport as part of its new animal welfare strategy.

While hunting wild animals with dogs is already banned in England and Wales, some critics argue that trail hunting—an activity where dogs pursue an animal-based scent trail rather than a live animal, followed by a group of hunters on horseback—is often used as a "smokescreen" to continue the illegal practice.

CEO of leading national wildlife charity The League Against Cruel Sports, Emma Slawinski, said: “By outlawing trail hunting they will no longer be able to claim in court that that is what they were doing. Instead when they chase and kill a wild mammal, as reports suggest they do, they will be held accountable."
