*KCAMS Students Complete Industrial Internship at Khairpur Special Economic Zone*
*KHAIRPUR MIR’S:* In a significant step toward bridging education and industry, two students from the Khairpur College of Agriculture and Management Sciences, KCAMS, have successfully completed Phase-II of the Paid Internship Programme at Khairpur Special Economic Zone, KSEZ.
Syed Aoun Ali Taqvi and Mohammed Saleh Solangi, both pursuing B.E in Agricultural Engineering at KCAMS, a constituent college of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, were placed in leading agro-based industries within KSEZ. Their training took place at M/s Al Rahim Agri Processing (Pvt) Ltd, M/s Biomasdar Pakistan Ltd, and M/s MD Naich Flour Mill.
The internship was organized by KSEZ under the Sindh Economic Zones Management Company, SEZMC, with the objective of strengthening Industry–Academia Linkages and providing students with direct exposure to industrial operations. For two months, the students observed manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and the practical application of agricultural engineering in real-time production environments.
This was not theoretical learning. It was engineering in motion — machines running, problems being solved, and technical knowledge being tested on the factory floor.
KCAMS Principal, Engr Prof Dr Syed Ali Raza Shah, congratulated the students and emphasized that collaboration between universities and industry is no longer optional.
“Classroom education must be matched with practical experience. Only then can we produce graduates who are ready to meet the demands of a changing economy,” Dr Shah said.
He added that under the guidance of Sindh Agriculture University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Altaf Ali Siyal, KCAMS is committed to expanding such partnerships. The goal is to provide students with professional exposure, technical training, and clear pathways toward employment and entrepreneurship.
Dr Shah also appreciated KSEZ and SEZMC for facilitating the programme and expressed hope for deeper collaboration through future internships, joint research, and field visits.
The programme was coordinated by Engr Ajeet Kumar, Lecturer and Focal Person for Industry–Academia Linkages, with support from SEZMC CEO Mohammed Azeem Uqaili, KSEZ Zone Operations Manager Mohammed Ali Mahesar, Agha Maseullah Khan, IT Coordination Officer, and Syed Irfan Ali Shah, Administrative Officer.
With this completion, KCAMS reaffirms its role in preparing the next generation of engineers who can contribute directly to Sindh’s agricultural and industrial growth.
