Final year Thesis/Project V.V examinations of K22PG (7th Semester)

MUET SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mirs successfully hosted the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) team for the re-accreditation visit of K22PG Batch and onwards.

The PEC team evaluated our OBE implementation, lab facilities, course files, and CQI processes. We appreciate the constructive feedback and valuable remarks from the esteemed PEC members.

🌿 Upholding Our Commitment to a Cleaner and Greener Environment

The SPE MUET SZAB Student Chapter proudly participated in the Clean and Green Drive organized by Khairpur Youth Council on 16 April 2026 at Suk Pul near Luqman.

SPE volunteers, led by the President of SPE MUET SZAB Student Chapter MUHAMMAD HASSAN actively took part alongside students and community members, contributing to improving the cleanliness of the area while promoting environmental awareness and responsible practices.

This initiative highlights SPE’s commitment beyond technical excellence—fostering community service, sustainability, and a cleaner, greener future for Khairpur. 🌍

The Final Year Project (FYP) Committee successfully conducted the initial proposal defense for the K22 Batch on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Committee Room, Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering. We appreciate the efforts of all students and supervisors. Best wishes to the K22 batch for their research journey ahead.

The SPE MUET SZAB Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Mehran University SPE Student Chapter, successfully organized a hybrid technical session on “Integrated Field Development Plan for a Mature Oil Field” on April 15, 2026.

🎤 We were honored to host Dr. Sonny Irawan, Associate Professor at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿, as our distinguished speaker.

The session provided key insights into production optimization, reservoir challenges, and integrated development strategies for mature oil fields ⛽📊.

The session began with a welcome and introduction by Dr. Ghulam Abbas Qambrani (Faculty Advisor, SPE MUET SZAB), highlighting the importance of such initiatives for students’ professional growth.

👥 Students and faculty members actively participated, with attendees joining both physically and online here at Khairpur Mirs campus and also at Mehran university ay jamshoro reflecting strong engagement.

Congratulations 🎉

We are proud to share that two of our students, Muhammad Umar (Ex-President, SPE MUET SZAB Student Chapter) and Waqas Nisar (Ex-Vice President, SPE MUET SZAB Student Chapter) from Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department, represented our campus/university at Offshore Technology Conference Asia 2026, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾 from March 31 to April 3, 2026 and brought impressive wins.

During the event, both students achieved outstanding success in the group technical presentations. Muhammad Umar, who also served as the team leader, secured 3rd position with his group on the topic of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Meanwhile, Waqas Nisar and his team achieved an impressive 1st position with their topic on Energy Transition.

These remarkable achievements reflect the talent, dedication, and leadership potential of our students on an international platform and bring great pride to our university and department.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Asadullah Memon, Chairman, Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, and Engr. Sunder Sham Jeswani, Ex-SPE Faculty Advisor, for their invaluable guidance and support. Their mentorship was instrumental in our student/ SPE members' successful participation at OTC Asia 2026. 🙏
