_*Students are confused about GPA and CGPA In this post I explained the formula...⁉️*_
let's calculate the CGPA for two semesters, with each semester having two subjects, each subject having three credit hours.

Semester 1:

Grade Points:

Subject A = 3.5
Subject B = 3.0

Credit Hours:

Subject A = 3
Subject B = 3

For Total Grade points, You multiply the grade points by the credit hours and sum them up.

Subject A = 3.5 x 3 = 10.5

Subject B = 3.0 x 3 = 9.0

Total Grade Points: 10.5 + 9.0 = 19.5.

GPA Calculation for Semester 1:

Formula:
GPA = Total Grade points / Total Credit Hours

Total Grade points = 19.5
Total Credit Hours = 6

GPA = Total Grade Points / Total Credit Hours
= 19.5 / 6

1st Semester GPA = 3.25
Let suppose,
2nd Semester GPA = 3.40

Now, let's calculate the Cumulative GPA (CGPA) for these two semesters:

Formula : Total Grade points(all semesters) / Total Credit Hours(all semesters)

1st Semester Grade points: 3.25* 6 = 19.5
2nd Semester Grade points: 3.4 * 6 = 20.4

Total Grade points = 19.5 + 20.4 = 39.9
Total Credit Hrs for both semesters: 6 + 6 = 12

As we know,

CGPA = Total Grade points / Total Credit Hours
= 39.9 / 12
CGPA for two semesters = 3.325

Your Cumulative GPA (CGPA) for these two semesters, is approximately 3.33.
