The Nature School under the aegis of Wildlife Conservation Fund - YPJK is a type of outdoor education in which children (or Adults) visit Natural Forests, Wetlands, learning personal, social and green skills.

WE 💚 PAMPORE.
8th - 9th December, 2025.

The Nature School hosted a group of students and teachers from Foundation World School, Budgam, for a two-day educational visit.

The visit was conducted in two batches — 8th December for boys and 9th December for girls.

Their visit began at The Nature School campus, where they explored the premises and interacted closely with our team.

Mr. Nadeem Ahmad Dar welcomed the guests and gave them a detailed briefing about the vision and activities of The Nature School.

During the session, he introduced the students to the topics of , , , and the .

The students showed great curiosity and enthusiasm while learning about these aspects.

Later, Nadeem Qadri - Environmental Lawyer, founder, The Nature University, elaborated further on the Fossil Park, explaining the significance of fossils and showcasing a few fascinating specimens.

The students engaged actively, asking insightful questions and sharing their thoughts, making the interaction both educational and enjoyable.

After the session, the group visited the Chatlam Wetland Reserve - Pampore. The breathtaking beauty of the wetland deeply impressed the students.

Our team, along with the interns from SP College, Srinagar who are currently undertaking their internship on wetlands in Pampore, briefed the students about the ecological importance of and .

The interns formed small groups of students, guided them during the birdwatching activity, and explained different bird species and their behaviors.

Mr. John Mohammad Mir, Block Officer, Pampore Wetland, Department of Wildlife Protection, also joined us at ECO-STOP. The children learned about the importance of wetlands and enjoyed an exciting bird-watching session.

He also made everyone take a pledge to keep our environment clean and protect nature. The session ended with smiles and a renewed sense of responsibility among the young participants to care for their surroundings.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and appreciated the learning opportunity amidst nature.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to The Nature School team for their seamless coordination and dedicated efforts in making this two-day educational visit a great success.

On this crisp winter morning with clear skies and a biting chill, International Delhi Public School Gowharpora Chadoora visited The Nature School.

First, they came to The Nature School where we had an interaction session with the kindergarten children. We shared information about The Nature School. The little children spoke about , , and the famous of Kashmir.

After that, we took a short walk to warm up against the chilly air and headed towards the Fashkoori Wetland Reserve. The children observed various birds and learned about their significance.

Later, they enjoyed lunch amid the beautiful Saffron Fields in the serene winter landscape. During this time, Nadeem Qadri - Environmental Lawyer, founder, The Nature University joined us. Before leaving, we conducted a small clean-up activity to help preserve the environment.

Finally, we took the children to the Chatlam Wetland Reserve - Pampore , the largest wetland in Pampore, nestled between the Saffron Fields and the Hills.

Block Officer John Mohd Mir, also joined us there. The children learned about the importance of wetlands and enjoyed bird watching.

As winter continues, the morning began with warm-up activities where the children played cricket and enjoyed the warmth of the sun.

Later, we were joined by Nadeem Qadri - Environmental Lawyer, Founder The Nature University, and we held an open-air meeting. We were also joined by a few special guests — Mr. Arqam Ilyas, Chief Coordinator of the WCF Internship Programme, and Bint-ul-Islam, a self-made artist.

Nadeem Qadri Sir, briefed the guests about The Nature School and shared our vision. He also discussed responsibilities with the directors, emphasizing their roles and future plans.

Towards the end of the day, we visited the Chatlam Wetland Reserve - Pampore, where the importance of wetlands and details about the Chatlam Wetland were explained. The day concluded there, filled with learning and inspiration.

It was a chilly winter morning, but the children arrived at The Nature School with their usual excitement and energy.

The day began with some warm-up activities, followed by a lively cricket match, while a few children sat in the sunshine engaged in meaningful discussions.

A special directors’ meeting was also held today. The main agenda was to appoint new young directors for the year 2026 and plan how to further develop and expand The Nature School in the coming year.

Nadeem Qadri - Environmental Lawyer, founder The Nature University introduced the newly appointed directors and explained their responsibilities.

Important discussions were also held about The Nature Academy—an initiative focused on equipping students with practical environmental and life skills that connect them deeply with nature.

The meeting concluded with new hopes and enthusiasm for creating a greener, more vibrant year ahead.

09 November 2025,

Started the day as per the routine, like picking students from their respective places with proper safety measures and SoPs, and dropped them at The Nature School with all new energy and spirit.
After the proper warmup, the team unanimously took a call to play cricket, so a few of them started playing cricket, a few got engaged in book reading, naat e sharief reciting and a few delved into the discussions of their choice.

The team under the leadership of worthy Founder, TNS, Nadeem Qadri - Environmental Lawyer, also paid a visit to Chatlam Wetland Reserve - Pampore, and inspected the ongoing dredging work in presence of worthy BO, John Mir. With this we are optimistic and sure to see some positive changes around the wetland because of the great work some in pipeline, and some under process by the department concerned and Wildlife Conservation Fund, YPJK.

With a quote "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can" we look forward for more hands to join us in the endeavors of better environment and better future for us, for our people and for the planet.

Started the day with all new energy and dedication for our noble initiative "Sundays For The Nature School" under The Nature School endorsed by The Nature University. So many reasons for a whole new energy mainly the arrival of the Saffron season in our beloved and the arrival of in our beautiful Wetlands at Pampore from different parts of the world.

Received special guests from , Srinagar and the person is of such a stature who needs no introduction. , Chief Executive Officer, Career Institute, Hawal, Srinagar, along with the worthy CEO, Jammu & Kashmir Eco-Watch, Mr. Azhar Kawoosa, and Project Director, Go Green Shahar-E-Khaas, Mr. Ahsan Ul Haq, visited us on this special Sunday and added value to the whole spectrum of things.

Delegates from Khrew discussed the conservative measures that must be taken in the Khrew landscape and for the reason will be revived, refurbished and more activities will be brought under this noble initiative with collaborations with like-minded minds and organizations.

One more feather that we added to our The Nature University on the day was the soft launch of , and a cup of in traditional cups ( ) was served with to our worthy team, green ambassadors, and students of The Nature School, which they enjoyed and adored, post a session on Artificial Intelligence delivered by Ms. Huda Jan, curated by Ms Irtifa Bashir, and assisted by Ms Zarka Muzammil.

The concluding part witnessed a detour of Saffron Fields, birding at Chatlam Wetland Reserve - Pampore and a stopover at the Pontoon Office of The Department of Wildlife Protection - Wetlands at Chatlam WR.

With this, we look forward to more hands and bright minds to join us in the endeavors of environmental and , because we are the core believers of strength in unity and that's what we try to build upon every day with people from all walks of life.
