Force is an influence that can cause an object to accelerate, change direction, or deform. It's a vector quantity, meaning it has both magnitude and direction. Forces can be applied through contact (like pushing or pulling) or through field interactions (such as gravitational or electromagnetic forces). According to Newton's second law of motion, force is equal to the mass of an object multiplied by its acceleration, expressed as F = ma , where F is the force, m is the mass, and a is the acceleration.

Gravity is the force that pulls objects with mass together. It governs the motion of planets, stars, and everything with mass.
