GDGC Shaheed Rukhsana Begum Sharafi Goth reaffirms its unwavering support for the defence forces. A seminar was conducted in conjunction with Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, featuring Prof. Aslam as the keynote speaker, who shed light on the current security situation at the western front and paid homage to the sacrifices of our military personnel and martyrs.

📚 Seminar on the Significance of Roza & Zakat:

A meaningful and enlightening seminar was organized at G.D.G.C. Shaheed Rukhsana Begum, Sharafi Goth, highlighting the spiritual and social importance of Ramadan.
The session on the significance of Roza (fasting) was delivered by Molana Dr. Abdul Hashim (G.D.B.C Landhi No. 06, Karachi) who beautifully explained the values of patience, self-discipline, and spiritual purification.
The importance of Zakat was presented by Prof. Aslam (G.D.G.C. Shaheed Rukhsana Begum, Sharafi Goth), emphasizing compassion, social responsibility, and support for those in need.
The event concluded with an inspiring keynote address by Principal , encouraging students to transform knowledge into practice during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Inauguration of Botanical Garden & Ecological Site

Government Degree Girls College Shaheed Rukhsana Begum, Sharafi Goth, successfully inaugurated its Botanical Garden and Ecological Site, initiated under the supervision of Prof. Ishrat Naz.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Chairman UC as Chief Guest. Representatives from WWF-Pakistan, including Senior Environmental Officer Miss Ifrah and Mr. Farhan (Senior Officer – Freshwater) along with their team, conducted an informative environmental awareness session for students.
The formal announcement of the College Botanical & Ecological Society (CBES) was also made. Prof. Raja Sheharyar Ahmed highlighted the vital role of student participation in environmental conservation and ecological protection.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Dr. Adnan, appreciating the collaborative efforts of faculty, WWF representatives, and students.

A proud step towards a greener and sustainable campus.

The Executive Body and Team Lead Elections of CBES were successfully conducted in the College Library, dated 17-02-2026 at G.D.G.C. Shaheed Rukhsana Begum, Sharafi Goth, in a transparent and democratic manner under the supervision of Prof. Saira, Prof. Zaheer, Prof. Maraj and Prof. Shakeel.
Students enthusiastically participated and cast their votes responsibly.

A Fire Safety Awareness Session was held at Government Degree Girls College Shaheed Rukhsana Begum, Sharafi Goth. The session was organized by Prof. Shakeel Ahmed. Teaching and non-teaching staff, along with students, actively attended the session, during which Prof. Shakeel shared valuable knowledge and awareness regarding the actions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be followed in case of a fire emergency.

Prof. Shakeel also demonstrated the proper use of a fire extinguisher 🧯.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Principal Prof. Ishrat Naz.

یہ رنگا رنگ تقریب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عدنان کی زیرِ نگرانی کامیابی سے منعقد ہوئی۔

اس موقع پر مختلف مقابلہ جات میں حصہ لینے والے شرکاء اور کامیاب ہونے والوں کے لیے انعامات کی تقسیم کی تقریب بھی منعقد کی گئی۔

علاوہ ازیں، اسٹوڈنٹس ویک 2026 کو کامیاب بنانے میں خدمات انجام دینے والے تمام اساتذہ کرام کو پرنسپل پروفیسر عشرت ناز کی جانب سے خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا گیا۔
