Students! Around 48 hours left to revise paper 2 syllabus. I will recommend following things to utilize the remaining time in the best way:
1. First of all, you need to do the practice papers I gave you in the alphabetical sequence like A, B...
2. If you have already done them, then you need to revise the topics given there again.
3. Learn the Ahadith of syllabus, the easy ones, to quote in your answer of Q2 (a) if required.
4. You need to revise Ijma Qiyas for this paper as well, which I have given in Book 2. Here, you need to relate them with Hadith in legal thinking.
5. You need to refresh the compilation of the Quran as well as the last two stages are important events of H. Abu Bakr and H. Uthman’s caliphate.
6. Students ask a lot about Sunni Shia collections. So I recommend covering the maximum syllabus, especially the compulsory one. If it is too difficult for you, so at least do Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Jami Tirmidhi, and Al- Kafi.
7. If you are going to attempt Articles of Faith question, then you must give many references to support your points.
8. In caliphs quotations aren’t there but you need to remember the names of commanders, number of troops etc. which I have highlighted in my notes.
9. In pillars besides methods, spiritual and communal benefits are also to be done in detail as they can give a 10 marker on benefits as well.
10. Go through the tips I gave before P1 and follow them strictly in this paper as well.
At last, I request you not to become overconfident or take Paper 2 easy. First, cover predicted papers and then do as much as possible. It is just one day, but you will feel proud after scoring A* or A the whole life.
Yours sincerely,
Zafar Alam

Wishing you all the best of luck for your first exam tomorrow. In Sha Allah you will ace the paper. Your hard work will never go in vain. Be positive and confident and have faith in Allah and in yourself. A few things you should be careful about:
1. Use dark ink for writing as it becomes convenient for examiners to read the script.
2. Write within lines and don’t write below or above the given lines.
3. Ask for extra sheet a good time before you need it to save your time.
4. If they don’t give it or delaying it then use the pages of the question you will leave in option.
5. Please number all questions and parts clearly as given in the question.
6. Try to write as clear and legible as possible.
7. Give enough time to read the question and underline the key words which help to decide what is relevant and what isn’t.
8. Read the question till the last word as only one word can change the entire plan of answer.
9. Read both parts of the question and then plan your part (a).
10. References given in the paper can be used somewhere in answers if relevant and make sense.
11. Divide your time like this:
Q1: 15 min
Q2-Q5: 25 min each
Part (a) of 10 marks in 20 min
Part (b) of 4 marks in 5 min
12. Don’t get confused if you feel something new in there. You will know the answer but you will need to think a little about relevant events.
All the best. My prayers are always with you. Take care.
Regards,
Sir Zafar Alam.
