haunting in the hotel said by a girl In November of 2011, Me and my dad moved into an apartment complex called Candlelight, It's in Mt. Orab. Well, all the way from the time we moved in there until the day we moved out, Weird stuff happened. It wasn't really scary, just creepy. A month after we moved in, my aunt died. I am not sure if her spirit could have wondered to our apartment, or not. But after she died, Occasionally things would go missing, sometimes to reappear in a completely different place. Sometimes to never reappear at all. I really never thought too much of it, of course. Because I've never really fully believed in ghosts. (I kind of still don't. My mom says I just need to open my mind.) And there has been times where I would be in the bathroom, at the top of the stairs and feel like someone or something grabbed my ankle. At first, I automatically assume it's my dog brushing against me. But when I look, there isn't anything there. I just shrugged it off and continued with what I was doing. My dad recently told me that he has had the same feeling. (Like something grabbed his ankle in the bathroom.) I told him about me feeling it before and he said "Maybe it's your aunt sissy." I considered it, but didn't put too much thought into it. Some days there would be times where I would feel uneasy as if someone or something was watching me from my closet in my room, causing me to always check my closet and then close it before I went to bed. But I never had that feeling if I had a friend over. Almost like whatever it was watching me, Didn't when someone else was there. I always slept with the t.v. On. Even though I was 16 years old. A couple months ago, my boyfriend said while he was sitting in his car smoking a cigarette, He would see a shadow walk in front of his car. (as if it were someone walking to the laundry room.) And when he looked up, nobody was there. So he didn't think anything of it, Just thought it WAS someone walking to do there laundry. When he looked back down at his phone, he saw the shadow again. Not walking in the other direction, like someone was walking back to their apartment, but the same direction, like they were still walking towards the laundry room. And our apartments had a big light on the side of each building, to keep the parking lot lit. And my boyfriend said each time he was to see the shadow, the light would turn off then right back on. And he said he saw the shadow probably 5 or 6 times. I have also had weird dreams where there was something evil in the apartment complex. Particularly my building and the building right next to mine. I don't know if something is or was there. Or if there isn't anything and it's just all in our heads.

They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky. But Halloween's creepiest creature customs didn't appear out of thin air, not even the ghosts. Many of them once instilled real fear in medieval towns, when folklore reigned supreme and getting freaked out came easy. Here we offer up some real science and history of the scary stars of Oct. 31.

In 1936, a photographer taking pictures of the 300-year-old Raynham Hall in Norfolk, U.K., captured an image of an apparition floating down the stairs. It's one of the most famous ghost photos ever taken, although some experts believe it was caused by double exposure.
The manor, covering an area of 7,000 acres (2,833 hectares), has a long history of being haunted, and the BBC notes that the ghost may be of Lady Dorothy Townshend, the wife of the second viscount of the estate. She died in 1726, supposedly of smallpox, after having an affair, which her husband Lord Townshend had learned about before her death. She is said to still wander the manor dressed in brown. In 1949, a boy from Cottage City, Maryland, who was referred to as "Roland Doe" (not his real name), underwent an exorcism performed by a group of Roman Catholic priests, accounts suggest.
There are conflicting reports as to Roland's alleged powers: Some stories claim that Roland had supernatural strength, could speak in ancient languages that the boy had no knowledge of and could apparently move or levitate the mattress he was lying on.
Since 1949, investigators have called into question many of these claims, providing evidence to suggest that Roland was a psychologically troubled boy who hated to attend school and that his abilities were far from supernatural. In any event, the exorcism took place. The events inspired a 1971 novel called "The Exorcist" by William Peter Blatty, which, in turn, inspired the famous 1973 movie.

Spirits become more active at night, possibly due to a reduced electronic disturbance from appliances and other devices, which compete with or drown out ghostly apparitions. For this reason, you’re more likely to detect ghostly disturbances when your house is quiet
2. Spirits can manifest in various ways, including orbs, streaks of light, dark shadows, mists and strange blurs. Full-body apparitions are possible, but highly unlikely.
3. Children and animals are more likely to “see” a ghost. Some children perceive ghosts as imaginary friends.
4. If a candle flame burns blue or suddenly goes out with no apparent draft or breeze, it’s a sure sign that ghosts are present.
5. Spirits can often be helpful, and even protective of the families they “haunt.”
6. Albert Einstein himself may have postulated a scientific basis for the existence of ghosts. Since energy cannot be created or destroyed but only change its form, what becomes of our energy when we die? Could it be somehow manifested as a ghost?
7. Albert Einstein wasn’t the first. The concept of ghosts as a form of life after death goes all the way back to ancient Egypt, where people believed that death was merely a transition from one form of existence to another.
8. The White House is haunted by a number of ghosts, including that of Abigail Adams, who has reportedly been seen hurrying toward the East Room, where she used to hang her laundry.
9. During Woodrow Wilson’s presidency, the incoming first lady ordered the gardeners to dig up Dolley Madison’s prized Rose Garden. It’s said that Dolley’s spirit turned up and put such a fear of ghosts into the workmen that they fled without turning a single spade. The garden has continued to bloom for nearly two centuries
