Today in circle time, our seniors talked about invisible backpacks – the hidden stuff we all carry around that can change our moods, behavior, and how we see the world.
An invisible backpack is like a secret bag inside us filled with thoughts, feelings, worries, or experiences that we can't see but that weigh us down or lift us up. Things like stress from school, worries about friends, proud moments, or sad memories can all be packed in there.
When our backpack is heavy with tough stuff, we might feel grumpy, tired, or unsure. But when we put good things in it – like kindness, support from family, or fun memories – the backpack feels lighter and we feel happier and more confident.
The seniors reminded us to be kind to everyone because we never know what’s in their invisible backpack. By being compassionate, we can help lighten someone else’s load and maybe even make our own backpack feel easier to carry.
Let's think about what’s in our invisible backpack and draw or write those things inside the backpack picture. It helps us to understand ourself better and be nicer to others!
