**Steal my strategy to solve numericals in MDCAT**

• Most students lose marks in numericals because they panic, forget formulas, or use long methods. MDCAT numericals are usually short and scoring if solved smartly.

• **Step 1: Stay calm**
Don’t panic when you see a numerical. A calm mind solves faster.

• **Step 2: Read carefully**
See what is being asked and note the given values.

• **Step 3: Make a data set**
Write all values neatly on rough sheet with units. Example: u = 0 m/s, v = 20 m/s, t = 4 s.

• **Step 4: Identify the chapter**
Know whether it is kinematics, electricity, stoichiometry, gas laws, concentration, etc. This helps you choose the right formula quickly.

• **Step 5: Recall the formula**
Memorize all major formulas before exam day. Numericals become hard only when formulas are weak.

• **Step 6: Check units**
Convert cm to m, g to kg, mL to L, °C to K whenever needed. Many students lose marks only because of wrong units.

• **Step 7: Use the shortest method**
MDCAT numericals are not lengthy board questions. Most are one-step or direct MCQs.

• **Step 8: Solve carefully**
Substitute values correctly. Watch signs, powers, decimals, and brackets.

• **Step 9: Use options smartly**
Sometimes options help you estimate and eliminate wrong answers quickly.

• **Step 10: Follow the 45-second rule**
If one numerical takes too long, skip it and return later.

• Never let one hard numerical cost you 3 easy theory MCQs.

• For Physics, practice formulas daily. For Chemistry, focus on mole concept, ratios, concentration, gas laws, and stoichiometry.

• Practice chapter-wise numericals daily. Speed comes from repetition.

• Keep an error notebook of wrong numericals and revise it weekly.

• Trust Allah, trust your preparation, and remember: numericals become easy when your method is right.

Advice For MDCAT 2026 by DMC Seniors!

Best resources to use for MDCAT

• Start with your province textbooks
This should be your main source because many MDCAT MCQs come directly from board concepts, facts, definitions, and examples.

• Sindh students: Sindh Board / Sindh MDCAT textbooks
• Punjab students: Punjab Board textbooks

• Use Federal Board books as support
After finishing your own board books, use FTB books to strengthen concepts and cover extra points.

• Best MCQ practice resources
• KIPS booklets (topical + past paper MCQs)
• Premed.net.pk (free)
• Premed.pk (paid)
• Anees Hussain material
• Doctors Inn material
• SKN Academy material
• Dow Grads books for past papers

• Use resources in the right order
Read chapter from textbook → Clear concepts through lectures if needed → Solve chapter-wise MCQs → Solve past papers → Review mistakes.

• For weak concepts
Use YouTube lectures or academy classes only for topics you don’t understand. Don’t waste time watching unnecessary long lectures.

• Keep an error notebook
Write every repeated mistake, confusing MCQ, wrong formula, or forgotten fact and revise it weekly.

• Best guidance resource: "Ustaad Academy"
We provide live classes, mentorship, strategy, and guidance by top medical students who have recently cleared MDCAT and know the latest paper trends.

• Learn from students who recently gave the exam and understand the current pattern, common traps, and real paper strategy.

• One mistake to avoid
Using too many resources at once. Pick a few quality resources and repeat them properly.

• Best formula to score high
Province textbooks + FTB support + quality MCQs + past papers + mistake correction + revision.

• Stay consistent, trust Allah, and improve daily.

How to study for MDCAT 2026 after the latest update

• MDCAT 2026 is expected to be conducted shortly after your FSC / Inter Part 2 exams, which means students will have less gap time than before. Many students are worried, but the reality is simple: the update applies to everyone equally.

• First thing, don’t panic. No one is getting extra time. Everyone will face the same timeline, so your focus should be preparation, not stress.

• Right now, your first priority should be Grade 12 board exams. FSC / A Levels marks carry major weight in merit, so don’t ignore them while thinking only about MDCAT.

• Give your best effort to Part 2 exams and aim for the highest possible marks. Strong board marks can make a huge difference in final admission chances.

• Side by side, start light revision of Grade 11 MDCAT content.

• You do not need to fully restart Grade 11 from zero. You have already studied it once. Once you reopen the chapters, many concepts return faster than you think.

• Best method right now: solve Grade 11 MCQs daily while continuing your Grade 12 preparation.

• Even 20–30 MCQs daily from 11th can keep your memory fresh without disturbing board studies.

• Focus especially on high-yield Grade 11 chapters from Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.

• If you feel weak in any old chapter, revise notes or textbook briefly, then test yourself with MCQs.

• Once your board exams finish, shift fully into MDCAT mode.

• In that one month gap, revise both 11th and 12th together through textbooks, MCQs, FLPs, past papers, and timed practice.

• Don’t make the mistake of only revising 11th after exams and forgetting 12th. Both portions need balance.

• Keep English and Logical Reasoning in routine as well. Small sections still add marks.

• Make a realistic schedule now:
12th board study first
11th MCQs side by side
Post-exam full MDCAT revision

• This update is only dangerous for students who delay. For organized students, it is manageable.

• Stay calm, trust Allah, trust your previous preparation, and start now. A student who begins early will always feel less pressure later.
