The Department of Political Science, University of Karachi, organized a dignified Milad and Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ ceremony on 28 September 2026. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students participated in the event. Students presented Naats, while renowned Naat Khawans Owais Palari and Hafiz Bilal Naqshbandi also presented Naats.
In his keynote address, Dr. Syed Shameel Ahmad Quadri highlighted the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as an eternal model of guidance and leadership. He emphasized the relevance of Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ to leadership, human resource management, conflict management, strategic management, motivation and other social sciences. He urged students to follow the teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet ﷺ for success in this world and the Hereafter.
The ceremony concluded with Durood-o-Salam and prayers for the Department of Political Science, University of Karachi, Pakistan Armed Forces, and the Muslim Ummah. Sweet refreshments were also served.
Dr. Muhammad Ali Bashir, Chairman, Department of Political Science, congratulated Student Advisors Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan and Dr. Suwaibah Qadri for organizing the ceremony and appreciated the participation of faculty, staff and students.

Today, The Department of Political Science, University of Karachi, in collaboration with American International Theism University, AITU Florida, USA and ARPDF Islamabad ,organized an international seminar on "Economic Diplomacy in the Contemporary Global and Regional Scenario".

The seminar was part of the *75th Diamond Jubilee Celebrations* of the University of Karachi and served as a *pre-conference event* for the upcoming International Conference in *October 2026*.

The *Keynote Speaker*, *Dr. Ehab M Elshamy* – Managing Director, American Financial Groups USA, Vice Chancellor, AITU Florida, highlighted the role of trade and investment in modern diplomacy. He also shared insights on how Pakistan can strengthen its economic ties in the regional and global context.

Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, welcomed the guest and emphasized the importance of political and economic diplomacy in today’s world.

Dr. Sajjad, Dean, Hamdard University also attended the seminar. A large number of faculty members and students participated in the event.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and the exchange of souvenirs. Both institutions expressed interest in future academic collaboration.
