Celebrating the Vision of a Nation, Honoring the Strength Within.
On the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, we at SABAKZ reaffirm our commitment to an inclusive Pakistan — where visual impairment is not a limitation but a different way of seeing potential.

Jinnah dreamed of a nation built on justice, equality, and human dignity.
We strive to carry that dream forward — by empowering the blind and visually impaired with education, skills, and confidence to shape their own future.

Let’s move forward together — one voice, one vision, one Pakistan."

December 3 — International Day of Persons with Disabilities
December 3rd is observed as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities worldwide, and in Pakistan, it serves as a crucial reminder to promote inclusion, equality, and human dignity. The United Nations officially recognized this day in 1992 to advocate for the rights, well-being, and integration of persons with disabilities into society.

Disability—Should Not Be a Social Barrier
Nearly 15% of the world’s population, and approximately 2.5 million people in Pakistan, live with some form of disability. Yet, many lack access to facilities needed for a dignified and independent life. The challenge lies not in the disability itself, but in societal attitudes and the lack of basic accommodations. With ramps, special education, sign language, Braille systems, and fair employment opportunities, these individuals can significantly contribute to Pakistan’s progress.

Inclusive Society—A Necessity
Globally, and in Pakistan, there’s a growing emphasis on "inclusiveness." A true welfare state ensures accessible infrastructure, modern technology, and equal opportunities. In Pakistan, initiatives like the Disability Act 2018 aim to promote accessibility, but implementation remains a challenge. Most buildings, footpaths, bus stops, and schools in cities and villages lack disability-friendly features.

Situation in Pakistan
In Pakistan, December 3rd is marked with seminars, walks, and awareness campaigns by organizations like the Special People Education and Rehabilitation Association (SPERA) and government bodies. Efforts are underway to improve special education, healthcare, and vocational training. However, gaps persist in accessibility, public awareness, and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Our Responsibilities
This day urges us to reflect on how we can improve lives in Pakistan. Let’s offer equality, not sympathy; autonomy, not charity; and respect, not pity. We must demand effective implementation of laws, accessible public spaces, and inclusive education. Support organizations working for disability rights and advocate for a barrier-free Pakistan.

Final Words
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities reminds us that disability is not a weakness but part of human diversity. Until we ensure full inclusion, accessibility, and equal rights, our social structure remains incomplete. December 3rd is a call to action—for Pakistan and for all of us—to bridge the gaps and build a more inclusive future.

SABAKZ proudly commemorates Iqbal Day – 9th November
On this day, we honor Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the Poet of the East, whose timeless vision continues to ignite hearts with courage, self-belief, and purpose.

His powerful message speaks to every soul — regardless of sight — reminding us to rise beyond limits and believe in our potential.

Let’s carry forward his dream — through education, empowerment, and independence for all visually impaired individuals.

"Empowering Inclusion: Tips for Serving Visually Impaired Customers"

When serving visually impaired customers consider these tips to create a welcoming experience:

1. Introduce yourself: "Hello, I'm Nawaz shareef, your server."
2. Use their name: "Annie, what can I get for you?"
3. Offer assistance: "Would you like me to read the menu or describe our specials?"
4. Respect preferences: "Would you prefer a quiet table or a booth?"
5. Communicate clearly: "I'll be right back with your order, Annie."
6. Use tactile cues: Place menus and bills in a designated spot, and use touch to indicate where items are.

By following these tips, you can empower visually impaired customers to navigate your business with confidence.

Moral of the Story: Inclusion is about creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Small actions can make a big difference in empowering visually impaired individuals.
