یہ تصویر 1915ء سنگاپور میں لی گئی تھی- تصویر میں دکھاۓ گۓ ہندوستانی مسلمان سپاہیوں نے جو کے اس وقت آل انڈیا برٹش آرمی کا حصہ تھے؛ خلافت عثمانیہ کے خلاف لڑنے سے انکار کر دیا- الله کے یہ شیر ڈٹ گئے اور آخر انکو فائرنگ اسکواڈ نے گولی ماری- سلام ہے ان ماؤں کو جنہوں نے یہ نڈر، ایماندار اور غیرت مند بیٹے پیدا کئیے- اور کتنا ناز ہوگا رسول الله کو اپنے ان خادموں پر- خدا کی قسم یہی وہ لوگ ہے جن کو جنت کی بشارت ہے-
لیکن تصویر کا دوسرا رخ اور بھی زیادہ اہم ہے- گولی مارنے والے بھی کوئی اور نہ تھے اپنے ہی مسلمان بھائی بندے تھے- فرق صرف اتنا تھا کے گولی کھانے والوں نے تنخوواؤں؛ مراعات ؛ عہدوں اور تمغوں کو ٹھکرا دیا اور شہادت کو پسند کر لیا- جبکے گولی مارنے والوں نے شہادت کو ٹھکرا دیا اور دولت دنیا کو پسند کر لیا-
آج یہ دونوں گروہ اس دنیا میں نہیں- دونوں امتحان کے واسطے دنیا کے کمرہ امتحان میں بھیجے گئے اور امتحان ختم ہونے پر واپس بلا لیے گئے- مگر دونوں برابر نہیں -
ہمیں بھی یہ ضرور سوچنا چاہیے کے ہم؛ ہمارے بھائی ؛ بیٹے اور عزیز کہیں انگریز کے حکم پر گولی مارنے والوں میں سے تو نہیں--
