Tall leaves give a strong vertical line and to balance this arrangement add horizontal line on opposite sides.
You can add rough texture of pine against the smooth surface of tall leaves and in front add smooth surface of apple,to creat rhythm.

Necessary tools for Ikebana class.
A pair of scissors
A hammer and nails are necessary when making large arrangements or when branches are used.
Wire is needed to tie material together.
A bowl which is filled with water and the stems submerged and cut under water.
