Assalam o Alikum.
Here are some of the details which I have gather uptill now. Last month Mateen bhai was admitted to the hospital due to unstable angina for a week or so. On investigation (through Angiography on 27th Dec at National Medical Center) it was revealed that he has occlusive CAD, 3 vessel CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) and was recommended Bypass Operation (CABG). He didn’t directly pursued for the bypass due to financial constraints. I have photocopied the reports of angiography, echo test and ETT, if any one requires it can approach me. He is currently a consulting Dr. Syed Ishtiaq Rasool and hoping to have his bypass operation done at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases(NICD). One of my friend Safi Siddiqui will be going to the doctor with mateen bhai this Saturday to get more details. University gives medical support through adamjee insurance which covers claims upto 40k per annum. Out of this amount around 30K has already been consumed. The estimated funds required now is around 1.5 - 1.75 lacs which includes Operation charges, Hospital Admission Charges, Various medical test charges and Medicines. This estimate may increase as we are trying to go for a better hospital like Tabba and Indus. The date of the bypass will be decided after the collection of fund. Currently involved students in this funds collection are Sheeraz Shaikh (06 batch), Obaid Ur Rahman(09 batch), Safi Siddiqui(09 batch) & Aarij Siddiqui(09 batch).
