ایمزون کا جنگل (Amazon)
ایمزون کا جنگل دنیا کے 9 ممالک تک پھیلا ہوا ہے، جس میں سرفہرست برازیل ہے۔
اس کا کل رقبہ 55 لاکھ مربع کلومیٹر پر محیط ہے، جبکہ پاکستان کا رقبہ 7 لاکھ 95 ہزار مربع ہے ایمزون ایک یونانی لفظ ہے جسکا مطلب لڑاکو عورت ہے
زمین کی 20 فیصد آکسیجن صرف ایمزون کے درخت اور پودے پیدا کرتے ہیں
دنیا کے 40 فیصد جانور ، چرند، پرند، حشرات الارض ایمزون میں پائے جاتے ہیں
یہاں 400 سے زائد جنگلی قبائل آباد ہیں، انکی آبادی کا تخمینہ 45 لاکھ کے قریب بتایا گیا ہے۔ یہ لوگ اکیسیوں صدی میں بھی جنگلی سٹائل میں زندگی گذاررہے ہیں
اسکے کچھ علاقے اتنے گھنے ہیں کہ وہاں سورج کی روشنی نہیں پہنچ سکتی اور دن میں بھی رات کا سماں ہوتا ہے
یہاں ایسے زیریلے حشرات الارض بھی پائے جاتے ہیں کہ اگر کسی انسان کو کاٹ لیں تو وہ چند سیکنڈ میں مرجائے
ایمزون کا دریا پانی کے حساب سے دنیا کا سب سے بڑا دریا ہے, اسکی لمبائ 7ہزار کلومیٹر ہے،
دریائے ایمزون میں مچھلیوں کی 30 ہزار اقسام پائ جاتی ہیں
ایمزون کے جنگلات میں 60 فیصد جاندار ایسے ہیں جو ابھی تک بے نام ہیں
یہاں کی مکڑیاں اتنی بڑی اور طاقتور ہوتی ہیں کہ پرندوں تک کو دبوچ لیتی ہیں
یہاں پھلوں کی 30 ہزار اقسام پائ جاتی ہیں
مہم جو اور ماہر حیاتیات ابھی تک اس جنگل کے محض 10 فیصد حصے تک ہی جاسکے ہیں
اگر آپ ایمزون کے گھنے جنگلات مین ہوں اور موسلا دھار بارش شرع ہوجائے تو تقریبا 12 منٹ تک آپ تک بارش کا پانی نہیں پہنچے گا...
