The Anglo-Oriental School was founded by Mr.M.Aslam Khan in1964 in Dastagir Society, Federal'B'Area as an english medium primary school.Gradually it was upgrated to class x and was registered and recognised as a High School for Science and Arts groups. After nationnalization the founder President of the School proceeded to the United States of America and some of the European countries to study and explore the Western system of education.After staying there for seven months he returned to Pakistan with the ambition to introduce the good qualities of the western system of education in his institution here. During the tenure of Bhutto's government the school remaind confined to K.G. classes only.But after the downfall of Bhutto's government, the Martial Law government lifted the ban of imposed on private schools and consequently all the branches of Anglo-Oriental School were upgraded from K.G. to higer level and now they are functioning as full fledged schools. Then, six branches of Anglo-Oriental School astarted functioning in different areas of the city,namely, Dastagir Society,Modern colony(pak colony),Gulshan-e-Iqbal,Pak Modern Colony,New Karachi, Gulshan-e-Mustafa.
