Delayed Dentition
Eruption of primary dentition usually occurs around 6-8 months of age. The dentition may be delayed upto one year without any systemic disease due to genetic or constitutional factors.Dentition is considered delayed if there is no eruption of teeth by first birthday. The common causes of delayed dentition are the following,
* constitutional delay
* PEM
* rickets
* hypothyroidism
* hypopituitarism
