October is world-wide celebrated as Breast Cancer Awareness month, a topic really close to my heart. I lost my mother to breast cancer in 2013.
At that point I was too uninformed to know much about the disease. While studying medicine, I have often stopped and wondered if we had known about self examination and Ammi had detected this earlier. There is this counter thought that timing of death is fixed and we anyway couldn't have delayed her death. A contradictory contemplation to the later thought strikes that at least pain could have been avoided.

Breast cancer can be detected early by a simple five minute self examination. Earlier detection can help in stopping the progress of disease to an incurable stage. Please take out five minutes of your day and make it a habit to examine your breasts daily.

Take care of yourself. Life is important than hesitation.
