The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated on November 27, 2024, at Karachi Gymkhana with a vibrant and impactful program. The event featured inspiring speeches, cultural performances, and a collective commitment to fostering inclusion and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
Among the notable participants was the PAF School for Persons with Special Needs (PAAK), which showcased remarkable contributions. The school was represented by 13 participants who actively engaged in stage performances and an art competition. The competition was divided into three categories:
1. Intellectual Disability
2. Physical Disability
3. Hearing Impairment
The students demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm and creativity, making significant contributions and learning from the experience. Their efforts were rewarded with cash prizes, gift hampers, and the joy of returning home with cherished memories from the event.

Today is international white cane day which is a global event that emphasizes the independence and empowerment of blind and visually impaired individuals.
This day prioritizes safety and awareness through the use of the white cane while also advocating for equal rights, educating the public, promoting assistive technology, fostering global unity and highlighting the achievements of blind and visually impaired people.
Worldwide, 285 million people are visually impaired. 39 million people are blind and 246 million people have low vision.

CED celebrated the International Day of Sign Language in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) and the Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority (SPDPA). PAF school for PSNs PAAK

All esteemed guests participated enthusiastically, celebrating and lighting up the stage with their support for Deaf rights. They collectively emphasized that sign language is the first and foremost right of every Deaf individual, promoting awareness and recognition of sign language in all areas of life.
