From: Syed Wajahat Ali Date: December 18, 2013 at 09:50:11 AM GMT+5 To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Meeting's Reply

Dear colleagues,

Asalam-O-Aliakum,

This is Syed Wajahat Ali, and Alhamdolillah I have enough courage to send email from my name. Dr. Abdul Wahab showed an email on Tuesday in the meeting by blaming me that I have sent that email because of his personal issues. I was not aware about that email and the matter was not related to me.

Earlier, I was ignoring Dr. Abdul Wahab when he talked about me so many times considering that he is an old aged person and I pay respect to elderly people but now he is too much and telling a lie completely.

The behaviour of Dr. Abdul Wahab is forcing me to react and has motivated me to answer that blame.

The points of agenda in the meeting were:

1. My Salary 2. My timings 3. Tariq performance 4. Relatives

I would like to answer those points.

My salary was decided according to my duties and tasks; I was managing both morning and evening programs: for evening program I was getting Rs. 15,000. Dr. Abdul Wahab stopped my evening allowance of 15,000 and hired a new staff member Mr. Furqan Suddiqui (Dr. Wahab's family friend) on a salary of Rs. 65,000.

I used to work on registrations, new admissions and admission campaigns, all time tables, weekend programs, making my utmost efforts to increase the number of students in MAJU with all my sincerity and hard work. When I went to Dr. Abdul Wahab to start weekend program, he was the one who discourage me and said this is an executive program we shouldn't start but I took stand to start weekend program, now the weekend program is saving the MAJU's downfall in revenue.

You must have noticed that in the current admissions and registrations students have suffered a lot because of the wrong time table and incompetent supervision. Registration was more than two weeks late and the time table was made by many senior faculty and staff members which was very difficult for the students to adjust.

My timing were decided by the President, as I was looking after evening program Dr. Wahab has given me 11:00am to 7:00pm but I never left MAJU 7:00pm, it was always 9:30 or more. Once Dr. Abdul Wahab announced that all employees should come on time otherwise salary will be deducted, the same day he called Mr. Tariq in his room and said "Tariq I have announced salary deductions on late coming so please try to come on time otherwise other people will raise questions".

Why have you done this discrimination Dr. Abdul Wahab? Rules should be the same for all employees in the university.

Relatives, Dr. Wahab mentioned only one relative Mr. Tariq as his nephew, what about Mr. Baber Wahab! Is he not your son?

Here, I would like to share some of the facts that Dr. Abdul Wahab is the only employee of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, who is fully enjoying the maximum benefits from the university and giving his less time and zero attention towards the development and the image building of MAJU.

He is drawing nearly Rs.500,000 salary per month, plus mobile bill, petrol expenses, cars, mobile, and medical expenses etc. etc.

In addition to, his respected son his highness Mr. Baber Wahab is a visiting faculty member and allowed to teach minimum five or six courses per semester. Remember, the visiting faculty is allowed to teach only two courses maximum if they have a very good professional profile in their fields. Mr. Baber Wahab is taking an hourly rate of Rs.3,000 per hour. (3,000 x 3 = 9,000 per lecture) (9,000 x 6 courses = 54,000 per week) (54,000 x 4 weeks = Rs. 216,000 per month). Wowww great earnings as a visiting faculty. Specially for an MBA just an MBA.

Furthermore, the most efficient, hard working, well behaved, well dressed, MA (political science), Mr. Tariq Ahmed Siddiqui, who was directly appointed as Deputy Registrar in 2004 without having a single interview like all the employees go through with. (At that time they were hiding the relationship and after five months people got to know that Tariq is a nephew of Dr. Wahab).

Dr. Wahab's discrimination and favouritism was so obvious when some students were issued with MBA degrees but they were entitled for BBA degrees, the fine of Rs. 5,000 per degree was imposed on poor Miss. Samreen, and Tariq being a head of the department, who is completely responsible for all the work, was escaped from that matter because he is a nephew. After that Mr. Zia was fined by Rs.5,000 for giving wrong student ID, which, Tariq had forwarded to MAJU Islamabad without bothering himself to at least check that ID was of the right student or not. So, the punishments were in the others bowl and the special increments and benefits are in Tariq’s bowl.

The reflection of Tariq’s performance you could see in a big list of 250 grades changed under his great supervision.

Several times permanent and visiting faculty members have submitted complaints about Tariq's bad behaviour to the President but Dr. Wahab was used to through those complaint letters in the bin and didn't put in his file.

In the light of the fact that, the above mentioned details are just 1% I have still so many (99%) things to disclose, and if Dr. Abdul Wahab will tell a lie about me anymore I'll have no other option but to expose him in the future widely.

Thanks,

With regards,

Syed Wajahat Ali
