AMANTECH

AMANTECH AMANTECH was established by the Aman Foundation, a large-scale vocational training institute committed to serving Pakistan’s neglected youth.

Pakistan needs a significant shift in vocational training and technical education to align the available labour force with the expectations of the private sector. The key challenges in Pakistan’s education sector are enhancing access, improving education quality and governance. Achieving gender parity, reducing school drop-out rates, and expanding modern vocational and secondary/tertiary education are major challenges too. Although there are 3,125 vocational training institutes in the country, they struggle to meet current requirements of the job market and have outdated teaching materials and equipment. They also lack a focus on softer competences, such as language and interpersonal skills, which are critical for effective job performance. As a result, most trainees do not meet benchmarked work-place standards and are under-qualified to cope with the rapid changes in business and industry processes.
