RIP Nelson Mandela, a true inspiration and one of the greats of our time. (1918-2013)
I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."
Nelson Mandela spoke these words from the dock at the Rivonia Treason Trial on April 20, 1964. Through his words and actions ever since, Mandela has been embraced worldwide as a symbol of courage, hope, and reconciliation.
Across the world, Mandela came to be seen as "a moral authority" with a great "concern for truth". Considered friendly and welcoming, Mandela exhibited a "relaxed charm" when talking to others, including his opponents.[315] Although often befriending millionaires and dignitaries, he enjoyed talking with their staff when at official functions. In later life, he was known for looking for the best in everyone, even defending political opponents to his allies, though some thought him too trusting of others. He was renowned for his stubbornness and loyalty, and exhibited a "hot temper" which could flare up in anger in certain situations, also being "moody and dejected" away from the public eye. He also had a mischievous sense of humour.
Very conscious of his image, throughout his life he sought fine quality clothes, carrying himself in a "regal style" stemming from his childhood in the Thembu royal house, and during his presidency was often compared to a constitutional monarch. Considered a "master of imagery and performance", he excelled at presenting himself well in press photographs and producing soundbites.
He was a true insiprations for many of Us.

To the cherished memory of our National Poet Iqbal, I pay my homage on this day, which is being celebrated in commemoration of that great poet, sage, philosopher and thinker, and I pray to God Almighty that his soul may rest in eternal peace. Amen!
Though he is not amongst us, his verse, immortal as it is, is always there to guide us and to inspire us. His poetry, besides being beautiful in form and sweet in language, presents to us a picture of the mind and heart of this great poet, and we find how deeply he was devoted to the teachings of Islam. He was a true and faithful follower of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), a Muslim first and a Muslim last. He was the interpreter and voice of Islam.
Iqbal was not merely a preacher and philosopher. He stood for courage and action, perseverance and self-reliance, and above all faith in God and devotion to Islam. In his person were combined the idealism of the poet and the realism of the man who takes a practical view of things. Faith in God and unceasing and untiring action is the essence of his message. And in this he emerges truly Islam. He had an unflinching faith in Islamic principles, and success in life meant to him the realization of one's "self", and to achieve this end the only means was to follow the teachings of Islam. His message to himanity is action and realization of one's self.
Although a great poet and philosopher he was no less a practical politician. With his firm conviction and faith in the ideals of Islam, he was one of the few who originally thought over the feasibility of carving out of India such an Islamic state in the North-West and North-East Zones which are historical homelands of Muslims.
I wholeheartedly associate myself with the celebrations of this "Iqbal Day", and pray that we may live up to the ideals preached by our National Poet so that we may be able to achieve and give a practical shape to these ideals in our sovereign state of Pakistan when established.
CVs from recycle bins and lessons they teach us:
Lesson # 1: Never write multi email IDs in the address bar when you’re sending CV through email.
Lesson # 2: Check, re-check and re-re-check the spellings and grammar yourself. Listen, MS Office doesn't differentiate between career and carrier.
Lesson # 3: Write achievements and accomplishments instead of job description and responsibilities.
Lesson # 4: Make sure before pressing send button that addressee and address ID are the same.
Lesson # 5: Take out all non-value added stuff like ‘ music etc’ from your CV.
Lesson # 6: Never use wedding card font types.
Lesson # 7: Avoid shading, boxes, tables, columns and colours.
Lesson # 8: Never password-protect your CV. Deleting is easier than contacting you for opening permission.

Today is a day to take an oath. Whatever be the government, be it of your choice or not, Its the nation which is bigger than the individual. We should work for achieving the dream of a SOCIETY free from fear, free from terrorism, free from communal riots and free from food and water scarcity.
When I look back, I feel that, we have come a long way in the since independence. We have achieved so many things on our way. But, is it enough? Not at all. Infact, the last couple of years has changed Pakistan from what it ought to have been. It is so different from the dreams of both Jinnah as well as Iqbal. There have been many turn around, sacrifices, wrong doing, wrong decisions, betrayals, many valour and what not.
We could have achieved so many. Yet, so little has been. We have not lived upto our potential. We have a hard task ahead. Yet, it is not unreachable.
Each one of us have a job at hand. We have a common responsibility.
We need to give the next generation a proper environment. Motivate them, Extend them the support they need. Each one of them have an infinite source of energy. Teach them entrepreneurship. Teach them not to give up, instill courage as their conviction.
Don't feed fish to them. Teach them fishing. They will bring whales in return.
Today is a day to remember the sacrifices made to realise our freedom. The price our fore-fathers paid to achieve. It was not just the Jinnah or Iqbal who got us the freedom. It was a national achievement by the collective efforts of innumerable citizens both at home and abroad. Patriotism is not anyone's monopoly. Anyone who is true to Pakistan is patriotic. Anyone who pays his tax is patriotic. Anyone who doesn't do corruption is patriotic. Its every parents responsibility to give the nation a responsible citizen.
Every parent should teach them the truth. Teach them the philosophies of both Jinnah and Iqbal. Teach them not to do their blunders. We have enough of them.
We need to take an oath. We will not do the same historical blunders and resolve the present crises.
Like Martin Luther King said, we have a dream, and in the end, we shall overcome. Yes, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die. For all of us. Never Never Never Give up !!!
Think Big and Dare to Dream. The future is ours. We cannot rewrite Pakistan's history. But, we can surely make Pakistan's future history.
Pakistan Zindabad.
Yes you Can Do it ...
Its your Turn to Turn Pakistan.
Must Read ... !!! If you have time for Pakistan.
