All Pakistan Memon Federation-Education Board has been established with a vision of quality improvement and bringing about positive change in the field of education by driving its role as catalyst for change. About us:
Over a long period of time, our community has been able to create a vision for improvement and bringing in a positive change particularly in the field of health and education. With the formulation of All Pakistan Memon Federation Education Board, we are focusing particularly towards the quality improvement of our educational institutions. The specific targets include curriculum enrichment, teachers training, infrastructure development and enhancing students’ enrollment. All Pakistan Memon Federation Education Board was set up as an independent body working under the guidance of All Pakistan Memon Federation with a view of providing support for the spread of quality education for the community in general and for society at large. The vision of APMF EB is to collaborate with selected community managed educational institutions and work with them as a catalyst to transform them into learning organizations of high quality. In Pakistan, unfortunately, the development of an effective education system has proceeded at a pace slower than what was required. The slow growth pattern of our education system has undoubtedly been one of the major factors hampering national development. This fact has also been highlighted in the recently issued National Education Policy 2009.…Pakistan’s education system is far from being a cohesive national system………and has performed poorly on the criteria of access, equity and quality. The work done so far by the Education Board and the professional approach adopted by them has been well appreciated by the community. We have already started working with Bagh e Halar School System and received an overwhelming response from all the stake holders. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with MEB Nexus of Educational Institutes and the school audit in MEB Girls School in Federal B Area has started and MoU with KMA Schools, OMYS schools and Sunbeam Grammar School will be signed soon. The active support and trust which we have received from the Jamaats and their Education Board has resulted in rapid and meaningful progress so far. There are 43 schools run under the education boards of various Jamaats and approximately 23,000 students are studying in them. We will gradually expand the scope of our activities and work with the remaining school systems in due course of time.
