A great nursing *legend* & patriot 🇵🇰, Ms. *Amtul Anis* born in 1934 in *Patiala* and migrated to 🇵🇰 with her parents in *1947* . She completed *Nursing-Midwifery* education in *1954* from *Karachi*. Being highly inspired by the *Nightingalian Movement*, she had set great dreams for nursing in this region. In *1959* , she went to *USA-* *University* for modern studies and came back to join JPMC as *Instructor in 1961* . After completing two years of *WHO Study* in 1963, she went to *Edinburgh* University ( *UK* ) for further education. In 1969, she became ANS and then selected as *CNS in 1972.* She also established SON in Islamabad as founding Principal, soon rejoined *JPMC SON as Principal* in *1978* . Her peek of career coincide in 1988 as Nursing Advisor*. During her tenure, she devised Nurses' *Service structure* for the first time in the history of 🇵🇰 also *revised* the Basic & Post Basic Curriculum with the help of *CIDA*. In *1990* became the president of *PNA Sindh* and then president of *PNF in 1991-97* which she was the founder of. After her presidentships, the PNA-Sindh & PNF were paralysed by a gang for personal gains for which she had a sad feeling. Being Nursing advisor she also had a vital role in the establishment/Recognition and improvement of so many Nursing Institutions including re-entry of Males. After retirement as Nursing Advisor, she Joined Islamic Mission Trust & School of Nursing, promoted it to College of Nursing and Midwifery-now Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery. She has served the most of her life ( *84-years* ) till the last moment for the Nursing and caring showering smiles of beauty, wisdom, care and elegance. To dedicate this elegant lady blessed
