Counsellors Coffee Club | Understanding Our Children

Every parent has questions. Why does my child behave this way? What are they trying to tell me? And how can I support them better?

Our School Psychologist, Rubia Munir, hosted an insightful Q&A session for Haque Academy parents, creating a safe space to explore these questions and to better understand our children.

Through honest conversations, shared experiences and practical insights, parents were encouraged to listen, reflect and connect—because sometimes, understanding our children begins with simply asking the right questions.

From ideas to innovation — our robotics teams are putting in the hours that count. Behind every prototype are weeks of brainstorming, building, debugging, and rebuilding, as our students learn firsthand what it takes to turn a concept into a working machine.

This year's World Robot Olympiad theme, "Robots Meet Culture," challenges young innovators to blend cutting-edge engineering with cultural storytelling — and our teams are rising to the occasion.

Every late evening in the lab, every failed test run, every breakthrough moment is bringing us one step closer to the WRO Pakistan National Competition at Aitchison College, Lahore.

Our Academic Coordinator for English and Cambridge-certified Trainer, Sadaf Shamsi was invited by Cambridge to conduct a Face-to-Face Training for O-Levels English Language Teachers at Glenrich International School in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Representing Haque Academy on this platform, she led two intensive days of discussion, collaboration, assessment, and classroom practice with English teachers from across different schools and contexts — a powerful reminder of just how universal our educators' challenges can be, and how thoughtfully they can be solved when the community comes together.

Mariam Sturgess, our O-Levels Physics faculty, participated in the Seeds of Peace Global Dialogue Lab 2026, held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Mariam Sturgess was selected from a competitive pool of 230 applicants, and this achievement reflects on her commitment to professional growth and dedication to fostering meaningful learning experiences for young people.

The Global Dialogue Lab brings together educators committed to strengthening dialogue facilitation, leadership and inclusive teaching practices — and for Mariam, the experience became far more than professional development.

Mariam joined 60 educators from the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom for this transformative eight-day experience.

She returns to Haque Academy with a renewed commitment to creating spaces where young people can question, listen, engage meaningfully and find their own voices.
