On May 09, Mr. Ron Kaufman – globally recognized authority on service culture and service excellence, led a virtual Masterclass Session for the Introduction to Services Marketing course, facilitated by Sir Atif Murtaza. The session was initiated and coordinated by graduating BBA student Aliza Aamir, reflecting remarkable student leadership and initiative.
During the session, Mr. Kaufman shared insights on service marketing frameworks, business transformation, and the evolving role of AI in shaping customer experiences and organizational strategy. He emphasized that meaningful service culture transformation requires organization-wide commitment rather than isolated initiatives. He also discussed how AI can enhance efficiency and personalization, while human empathy remains essential for trust-building and service recovery.
The discussion further explored perception point management, highlighting the importance of focusing on the complete customer journey instead of siloed KPIs. Drawing examples from organizations such as Singapore Airlines and Akhuwat, Mr. Kaufman demonstrated how service excellence principles can be adapted across industries and organizational contexts.

On Friday, May 8, 2026, Mr. Ihtesham Ud Din hosted a guest speaker session in collaboration with the CDC, featuring Ms. Shar Bano, GM National Sales at HBL.
During the session, Ms. Shar shared HBL’s inspiring transformation journey, highlighting how the bank is leveraging service innovation, customer-centric strategies, and digital transformation to redesign the customer journey and improve service delivery across multiple touchpoints. Her discussion provided students with a valuable industry perspective.
A particularly engaging part of the discussion focused on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in banking, from improving operational efficiency and personalization to enabling smarter customer interactions. She also emphasized the importance of the responsible and ethical use of AI, ensuring that innovation is aligned with trust, transparency, and customer well-being.
The session offered students a practical understanding of how technology, leadership, and innovation are shaping the future of financial services in Pakistan and beyond.

US Mobile conducted an on-campus recruitment engagement at IBA-Karachi on 8th May 2026, featuring an information session alongside mock interviews for participating students.
Students also took part in mock interview rounds conducted by company representatives, allowing them to experience real-time interview scenarios and receive practical feedback. The engagement created an interactive learning opportunity, helping students strengthen their professional preparedness and communication skills.

UBL visited IBA-Karachi for an on-campus recruitment drive on 5th & 7th May 2026, going beyond the usual process by conducting interviews and extending on-the-spot offers to selected candidates. The drive focused on lateral hiring opportunities, offering students and graduates a chance to step directly into professional roles.
The engagement stood out for its fast-paced and decisive approach, with candidates moving from interviews to final selections within the same setting. It provided a real-time hiring experience, giving participants a clear view of industry expectations while opening immediate career pathways with one of the country’s leading banks.

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Mr. Qashif Effendi hosted an engaging guest speaker session for the MBA Executive course “Advanced Brand Management,” bringing industry expertise directly into the classroom. The session featured Ms. Faryal Ghori, Director Marketing at Matco Foods, alongside her dynamic marketing team; Mr. Iftikhar Farooqui (Senior Marketing Manager), Mr. Jamal Khan (Brand Manager), Ms. Aliza Sohail (Assistant Manager Digital Media), and Mr. Mujtaba Abbas (Marketing Executive).
The team delivered compelling insights into the strategic evolution of Matco Group and the powerful market presence of its flagship brand, Falak Rice. A major highlight of the session was the discussion around Falak’s recently successful campaign, “1/10 Bano, Kuch Naya Try Kro,” which generated significant buzz in the industry by creatively positioning itself against a leading spice brand.
Through a bold, playful, and challenge-driven approach, the campaign encouraged consumers to break away from predictable routines and explore fresher, more exciting choices. The speakers unpacked the campaign’s strategic thinking, competitive positioning, and impressive consumer response, offering students a real-world perspective on disruptive branding, audience engagement, and modern marketing ex*****on. On Monday, 4 May 2026, Dr. Khurram Nazir Junejo, in collaboration with IBA-CDC, hosted a guest speaker session for students of the Business Application of Machine Learning course, featuring Mr. Omer Habib (Senior Engineer & Product Architect – Independent Consultant).
The session, “How AI Actually Helps Businesses”, offered a practical deep dive into real-world applications through a compelling case study on building an AI-SaaS product for software agencies. Mr. Omer shared valuable insights on common challenges in AI adoption—such as disconnected data systems, unclear ROI, and product-market fit—and how these can be addressed through thoughtful product design and ex*****on.
From understanding why many AI products fail to exploring how AI can truly drive business value, the session provided students with a grounded and industry-relevant perspective.

Highfy conducted an on-campus recruitment drive at IBA-Karachi on 30th April 2026, introducing its Future Talent Program for students and alumni. The initiative featured opportunities for both the Management Trainee (MT) Program and Summer Internships, catering to final-year students, alumni, and third-year students.
The engagement included an information session led by the Founder, Hanzala Raja, followed by an online assessment and on-the-spot interviews. Students gained insights into the organization and participated directly in the recruitment process, making it a comprehensive and interactive hiring experience.

Stepping beyond the classroom to experience history firsthand! 🏛️✨
On 26th April, students from the Topics of History course, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Moiz Khan, visited the National Museum of Pakistan as part of an educational learning experience. The visit provided students with an opportunity to connect historical concepts with real artifacts and exhibits, encouraging deeper reflection and understanding of history and heritage.
Facilitated with the support of CDC, the experience was further enriched through student engagement and the documentation of key moments from the visit. Students will also be sharing their observations and reflections through a museum report assignment based on their learning experience.

On Tuesday, 28 April 2026, Dr. Nasir Afghan, in collaboration with IBA-CDC, hosted a guest speaker session in his Organizational Behaviour class featuring Mr. Muneeb Maayr, Founder of Bykea, along with the presentation of the Bykea case study co-authored by Syed Faraz Ather at IBA Karachi.
The session highlighted the inspiring entrepreneurial journey of Bykea and its impact on Pakistan’s ride-hailing industry. Students engaged in an insightful discussion on Bykea’s business model and gained valuable industry perspectives through an interactive Q&A session with Mr. Maayr.
