WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT!
Ihsan Academy Essay Contest on "My Favorite Ayah in the Qur'an"
Over the last few weeks we have had the honor of reading beautiful entries about your favorite Ayaat in the Qur'an. From an Ayah that changed your life in an important way, to an Ayah that was an answer to a problem you encountered, among many others; you poured your hearts out to us with honesty and sincerity. We thank and congratulate all participants for their spirit, hard work, and effort.
The decision of which of the wonderful entries to award the top prizes was not an easy one. The ultimate decision, all things being equal, came down to the essays that reflected the spirit of this contest the best- the ones that truly illustrated the personal connection of the author with the words of Allah (swt).
The top 3 entries stood out based on a well-written and age-appropriate prose, that served to inspire through example.
My heartfelt congratulations to our top three winners:
First Prize Winner:
Ayesha Raees, 12: "Read, in the name of your Lord, who created" (96:1)
Second Prize Winner:
Aisha Laiq Najam, 14: "So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" (78)
Third Prize Winner:
Eshaal Khan, 9: "So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" (78)
As part of the first prize for the winning entry, Ayesha's entry is attached for everyone's reading pleasure. This entry truly reflects the spirit of this contest, and shows how our children should be using the Qur'an as a guidebook for all their questions and concerns in life. I encourage us all to share this wonderful essay with our children, and thank Ayesha for sharing her experience with us.
We are in touch with all winners regarding their well-deserved awards. JazakAllah khair!
