Chartered Accountants Students' Association (CASA) - Pakistan

CASA comprises of 4 student members from different training organisations committed towards making coordinated efforts for betterment of the CA student fraternity under the supervision of Southern Regional Committee. Established in 1968, Chartered Accountants Students’ Association (CASA) was primarily formed to bridge the existing gap between ICAP and the trainee students of the Institute. Since its formation, CASA has sailed through a rough, yet interesting path for over the last 53 years as a society of students elected by students themselves and committed to serving the best interests of student fraternity. The student body had regrettably been inactive for the past 3 to 4 years. However, with the new management in office, CASA has managed to crawl its way towards back to success. The principle objectives of CASA are to provide a variety of educational experiences that will encourage students in the CA fraternity to broaden their knowledge of and increase their enthusiasm for various professional and technical subject areas (i.e. exam based seminars, conferences, field trips, etc.). CASA aims to provide opportunities for students to participate in conferences that relate to their professional careers in order to facilitate continuous professional development of our members. The association seeks to generate greater social awareness and promote interaction amongst the student community by arranging a number of seminars on contemporary socio-economic issues and developments at hand and providing them a platform to discuss these in an objective manner. CASA assists students to develop a more positive and realistic attitude toward themselves by facilitating them in increasing their knowledge of and skills in functioning in a leadership position, in the process enabling students towards making intelligent career choices.

• Sub committees are:

- Education & Personal Development Sub Committee,
- Social event management Sub Committee,
- CSR Sub Committee, and
- Sports Sub Committee. The sub committees comprise of trainees from various Chartered Accountancy firms and we are proud of now being one of the largest trainee associations in South Asia. The sub committees are headed by the 4 elected managing committee members and it is under their supervision that CASA has become a great source of inspiration.

• CASA has established strong relationships with fellow South Asian Region CA students firms. With its objective of fostering closer ties between student communities on global economic and social issues, CASA has also gotten the opportunity to have its members represent Pakistan at the Annual Students Conference conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka in Colombo. The secret for the success story of CASA has always been the unwavering commitment & unity among its members. Our strength lies in great support of our well experienced, committed, talented and motivated committee members. We at CASA congratulate all the ex-CASA members & we assure that CASA will grow from strength to strength in years to come as we look forward to expanding on their successes to usher into new enriching events for the benefit of our members and the community as a whole.
