The Department of Microbiology at successfully organized an insightful and highly informative educational trip for BS 4th Year students on 30th April 2026 to (PRI) and (SIAH), Livestock & Fisheries Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi. 🧫🔬🐓
This enriching and memorable experience provided students with valuable practical exposure, enhanced their scientific understanding, and strengthened their knowledge in the fields of microbiology, animal health, diagnostics, and research practices.
During the visit, students had an interactive session with professionals, observed laboratory procedures, and gained awareness about modern diagnostic and research techniques being implemented in the field. Such educational activities play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academia and industry while preparing students for future scientific and professional challenges.

The pre-conference workshop of the 6th International Conference on Biological Research and Applied Sciences (IBRAS 2026) was successfully held on 16 January 2026 at the Department of Microbiology, Jinnah University for Women. The workshop focused on rapid kit-based identification of key Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, providing hands-on learning and practical insights into rapid diagnostic techniques. The session was well received and set a strong academic tone for IBRAS 2026.
