Today, we celebrate the 77th anniversary of our beloved country's independence.

On this momentous occasion, we pay tribute to the vision and perseverance of our founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the countless individuals who fought for our freedom.

This year, starting from the Independence Day, and throughout each day of the upcoming academic year, TCS Defence Campus are aspiring for a greener school and Pakistan!!

Here are some ideas how we can all strive for a greener School, and Pakistan:

🍃1. *Plant trees and support reforestation*: Trees help absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen.

🍃 2. *Reduce, Reuse, Recycle*: Minimize waste, reuse items when possible, and recycle to reduce landfill waste.

🍃 3. *Use carpool*: Reduce carbon emissions by using r carpooling, while students commute to the school.

🍃4. *Conserve water*: Take shorter showers and fix leaks to save water.

🍃 5. *Use eco-friendly products*: Choose products with minimal packaging and made from sustainable materials.

🍃 6. *Support renewable energy*: Invest in solar panels or support companies using renewable energy.

🍃 7. *Educate and spread awareness*: Share the importance of going green with friends, family, and community.

Remember, every small action counts, and collective efforts can lead to significant positive change!

The City School Defence Campus are delighted to offer Social Etiquettes Course as Summer Camp in collaboration with British School of Etiquettes (UK).

Ages: 5 years - 9 years
Dates: Tuesday 25th June - 11th July

Days: Monday through Thursday
(4 days a week)

9:30 AM - 11:15 AM
(Includes 1 hour of Social Etiquettes Class and 30 mins of free archery and self defence class.)

Course Outline:
1- Understand what constitutes formal dress and learn how to dress up for different occasions and other times of the day.

2- Discover how to create an unforgettable first impression.

3- Mastering the art of personal magnetism of creating power presence and warmth to lead the room with charisma posture deportment and poise.

4- Develop your emotional management skills so you don’t have to be hijacked by your own emotions but rather experience the joy of managing your emotions well

5- Learn dining etiquette and correct use of utensils with breakfast , English afternoon tea, lunch and dinner.

6- Learn social media etiquettes.

7- Develop deep listening skills.

8- Learn telephone etiquettes

An assessment will be scheduled at the end of the course. British School of Excellence (UK) certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the course.

THE CITY SCHOOL MOMFIE CONTEST 2024 GUIDELINES:

The City School Mother’s Day Contest dates: Sunday, 5th May – Tuesday, 7th May, 2024
Each entrant is required to take a selfie with his/her mom and share it as a private message on The City School’s Official Facebook
Page https://www.facebook.com/TheCitySchoolInternational/ with required details.
The required details by the contestants for entry include Student Name, School/Campus and City, in the order mentioned.
The entries will be uploaded on The City School Official page on the 8th of May 2024, once received. from : Sunday, 5th May – Tuesday, 7th May, 2024

The official hashtag of the contest on the social media will be .
The three most liked entries ranked first, second and third from each region i.e. Centre, North and South will win exciting prizes for their mothers.
Entries being received before the campaign/contest dates will be uploaded on 8th May 2024.
No entry will be accepted and/or uploaded after the deadline Tuesday, 7th May, 2024 later than 10:00 p.m.
The Voting will start on the 8th of May 2024 at 8pm till 10th May 2024 8pm.
The winners will be selected based on the number of likes attained by their photo till 8pm, 10th May, 2024,
The results of the contest will be announced on 12th May, 2024 on The City School Official page.
The concerned City School campuses will be informed about the winners on Monday, 13th May, 2024 after the result has been published on the official social media platforms.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

Photos need to be without any frame or visual effects and has to be a selfie.
Photos with incomplete details will not be entertained
Only photos with complete details in specified order will be uploaded i.e. Name, School/Campus and City
Exponential increase in likes/shares in a short span of time via like bots or any other application/software will lead to disqualification
Photos received after the submission deadline i.e. Tuesday, 7th May, 2024 by 10 pm will not be entertained
Only one entry from each contestant will be accepted. Siblings should share only one entry.
No cash alternative will be offered for the prizes

The City School does not bear any responsibility for the:
Delayed response by the winner and accordingly The City School reserves the right to declare the next most liked entry as the winner in replacement
Lost or misplaced prizes, if incorrect contact details are provided by the winner
