Prize Distribution Ceremony — Salaam Karachi 🏆

Nazeer Hussain University was invited to the prize distribution
ceremony of the Salaam Karachi 15 Days Festival, and volunteers
from the ASME X NHU Student Section attended to represent the
university.

Awards were presented to individuals and teams recognised for
their work across the city. The Mayor of Karachi, Barrister
Murtaza Wahab and Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Saeed, was among those who presented the awards.

A packed hall, a long evening, and a reminder of how much talent
this city produces and our members were there for all of it.

Nazeer Hussain University was invited to the Salaam Karachi
15 Days Festival, and the ASME X NHU Student Section was there
to represent it.

Present at the event:

Engr. Syeda Anum Kulsoom Rizvi - Faculty Advisor
Muhammad Hamza Kamran - Vice President
Muhammad Elaf Qazi - Marketing Manager

Along with our volunteer team, who were on duty through the day.

Being invited somewhere is one thing. Turning up and doing the

Representing NHU at Salaam Karachi 🤝

Our ASME X NHU volunteers were part of the prize distribution
ceremony at the Salaam Karachi Festival, where Nazeer Hussain
University was invited to take part.

From the campus gate to the stage - a full day of volunteering,
coordination and teamwork.

This is what our Student Section does: our members turn up,
take responsibility, and represent the university.

Salaam Karachi — 15 Days Festival 🇵🇰

Nazeer Hussain University was invited to the prize distribution
ceremony of the Salaam Karachi Festival, and volunteers from the
ASME X NHU Student Section went along to represent the university.

A packed hall, performances from young voices of the city, and
awards for the people who make Karachi work — all in one evening.

Our members were there on duty from the campus gate to the closing
act. That is what this Student Section is for: showing up, taking
responsibility, and representing NHU wherever it is invited.

Our Technical Head, Muhammad Sajjad, has been elected a
Member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers by
its Board of Governors.

ASME is the world's largest mechanical engineering society,
and this membership connects him — and our Student Section —
to engineers across the world.

Congratulations, Sajjad. Well deserved. 👏

Not a new idea. A revived one. 🔧

The ASME Student Section at Nazeer Hussain University was
chartered by the ASME Board of Governors in February 2016.

This year, we have brought it back — with a full executive
body, a faculty advisor, and a working calendar.

ASME is the world's largest mechanical engineering society.
Its codes and standards run the plants, refineries and
industry you will work in.

This charter is what connects our university to that.
