White blood Cell Vs Pathogens
White blood cells protect the body by finding and destroying harmful germs like bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Some white blood cells, like neutrophils and macrophages, "eat" the germs by surrounding and breaking them down. Others release chemicals to kill or weaken the germs. Special white blood cells called B cells produce antibodies, which attach to germs and stop them from causing harm. White blood cells also send signals to attract more immune cells to help fight the infection. Together, these actions keep the body safe from infections and diseases.
