On July 22, 2026, BS final year students from the Institute of Environmental Studies, University of Karachi, conducted an educational visit to the Environmental Research Lab at Bahria University Karachi Campus under the supervision of Dr. Aamir Alamgir and Dr. Noor Fatima. During this study visit, students received hands-on practical orientation and detailed technical briefings on advanced analytical instruments, modern research equipment, and environmental testing methodologies. The visit provided the students with comprehensive insights into laboratory protocols for water, air, and soil quality analysis, successfully bridging the gap between theoretical academic knowledge and real-world scientific research practices.

On November 7, 2013, a specialized training workshop on Fire Safety was jointly organized by the Pakistan Emergency Response Learning Program (PERLP) and the Institute of Environmental Studies at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. The workshop focused on equipping participants with essential emergency response protocols, hazard mitigation strategies, and practical fire safety compliance measures tailored for institutional and environmental settings. Installation of Fire extinguishers and Fire alarm were also done in IES first time.
