💧 Water has a direction... and it's called Osmosis!
Osmosis is the movement of water molecules through a semipermeable membrane from a region of lower solute concentration to a region of higher solute concentration. This simple process keeps plants fresh, helps our cells function properly, and is essential for life.
Remember: Only water molecules move during osmosis—not the solute.

🔬 Oxidation & Reduction – Easy to Remember!
Oxidation
✅ Addition of oxygen (O)
✅ Removal of hydrogen (H)
✅ Loss of electrons (e⁻) (LEO)
✅ Increase in oxidation number
Reduction
✅ Removal of oxygen (O)
✅ Addition of hydrogen (H)
✅ Gain of electrons (e⁻) (GER)
✅ Decrease in oxidation number
💡 Memory Trick:
LEO says GER
Loss of Electrons = Oxidation
Gain of Electrons = Reduction
⚗️ Example:
CuO + H₂ → Cu + H₂O
CuO → Cu: Oxygen is removed, so Reduction occurs.
H₂ → H₂O: Oxygen is added, so Oxidation occurs.
📚 Remember: Oxidation and reduction always occur together. One substance is oxidized while another is reduced.
