Today (22 Feb 2021) The index made an intraday low of -465 points to close at 45,890 level (down 338 points).
Top volume leaders of the bourse were HUMNL (6.8%), BYCO (6.5%) and TRG (7.1%) cumulatively contributing 270mn shares to the total volume 722.05 mn.
Banking and cement sector witnessed selling pressure.
But other side Technology sector however remained positive as TRG (7.1%), NETSOL (3.1%), HUMNL (6.8%) and MDTL (36%) all closed in the green trajectory.
Moving forward, we except the market to remain volatile due to the ongoing FATF meeting and we recommend investors to avail any downside as an opportunity to build positions in the cement, steel and refinery sectors.

Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited (PSX:EPQL) profitability declined by 22.1% in 3rd Quarter

has the Financial result of 3rd Quarter in which the company announced the After Tax of Rs. 2.03 Mn, along with the EPS of Rs. 6.27. The company earnings declined by 22.1% YoY basis.

The ’s earning declined mainly due to the Low sales and Higher . Net Sales of the company were decline 35.7% to Rs. 6.96Mn. Moreover, the Cost of Sales also declined by 36.3% that translated into the Gross Profit of Rs. 1.84Mn, decreased by 33.9% YoY basis.
