AIM Makes Aviation History: Youngest Graduate Certificate Holder Honored
The Aviation Institute of Management (AIM) proudly held its Certificate Distribution Ceremony on April 30, 2026, celebrating the achievements of students in aviation education and marking a historic milestone in global aviation academia.
Ceremony Highlights
Students were awarded certificates for the Airline & Airport Management program conducted by AIM and endorsed by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE). In addition, participants received internationally recognized certificates for specialized aviation courses including:
• Airport Management
• Airline Operations
• Air Carrier, Passenger and Cargo Management
• Aviation Project Management
• Sustainability Operations in Airports
• Aviation Security Management
These programs were conducted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), USA, through its Asia campus in Singapore.
A defining moment of the ceremony was the recognition of Arhum Rana, a 17-year-old student, who earned the Graduate Certificate in Aviation from ERAU. This remarkable achievement set a world record, making him the youngest recipient of this prestigious credential from the world’s leading aviation institution.
Speeches and Recognition
Dr. Wali Mughni, Chairman & CEO of AIM, delivered an insightful briefing on the critical role of aviation-specific education in national development. He emphasized that the growth of the aviation industry is positively correlated with GDP expansion, underscoring the strategic importance of nurturing aviation talent.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Abid Ali, Director HR at Pakistan Airports Authority, commended AIM’s efforts in advancing aviation education. He highlighted AIM’s initiative of offering substantial fee discounts for ERAU’s internationally recognized courses and generously announced internship opportunities at PAA for a large number of students.
Mr. Azeez Siddiqui, Principal of The Aviators, expressed gratitude to participants and declared them ambassadors of aviation education and AIM. He passionately reinforced the vision of “Aviationizing Pakistan” as a national mission.
Special Presentations
In a gesture of appreciation, Dr. Wali Mughni, Mr. Azeez Siddiqui, and Mr. Akhtar Zaidi (Senior Faculty, AIM) presented an AIM memento to the Chief Guest. Additionally, Mr. Asif Rana, President of the International Road Transport Association and proud father of Arhum Rana, presented an IRT shield of excellence to both the Chief Guest and Dr. Wali Mughni.
Closing
The ceremony concluded with a sumptuous high tea and group photographs with the Chief Guest, leaving participants inspired and motivated to carry forward AIM’s mission of excellence in aviation education.
