Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL) proudly congratulates Ms. Shazia Shah, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, on receiving the prestigious Best Research Paper Award.

This distinguished achievement recognizes her outstanding scholarly contribution and dedicated research on the feminist dimensions of the poetry and philosophy of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai. Through her academic work, Ms. Shah has successfully highlighted the relevance of Bhitai’s humanistic and progressive thought in contemporary discourse and promoted Sindh’s rich literary heritage at the international level.

BBSUL takes immense pride in the accomplishments of its faculty members whose research excellence enhances the University's academic standing and contributes to the advancement of knowledge.

Mr. Hasan Asif Azad, Sports Officer and Head of the Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari, was invited as a guest speaker at the Sindh Jitsa Kickboxing Association Coaching & Nutrition Course 2026, held on 13 and 14 June 2026 at Jitsa Kickboxing Club, Saddar, Karachi.

A total of 37 coaches and instructors from various academies participated in and successfully completed this valuable educational program.

During the course, Mr. Hasan Asif Azad delivered a lecture on Sports Nutrition, which was highly appreciated by the participants. The attendees showed great interest in the topic, actively engaged in the session, and asked numerous questions regarding sports nutrition.

At the conclusion of the program, the officials distributed certificates among all the participants in recognition of their successful completion of the course.

Admission Committee Meeting – Fall 2026 Admissions

The Admission Committee Meeting for Fall 2026 Admissions was held on 3rd June and chaired by the Vice Chancellor. The committee reviewed admission policies, eligibility criteria, admission schedules, and merit determination mechanisms.

The progress made by the Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, and Prospectus Preparation Sub-Committees was discussed, and necessary recommendations were made to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the Fall 2026 admission process.

The meeting reaffirmed the University's commitment to maintaining a transparent, merit-based, and efficient admissions process.

Workshop on "Each One Teach One"

A workshop on "Each One Teach One" was held on Friday, 22nd May 2026, at the Auditorium, Main Campus, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL), Karachi, for the students of Batch 2025–2026.

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Nusrat Abdul Ghafoor, Field Officer and Resource Person from the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Karachi.

The session aimed to promote literacy awareness and inspire students to play an active role in educational development through the "Each One Teach One" initiative. Participants were encouraged to contribute towards reducing illiteracy by sharing knowledge and supporting learning opportunities within their communities.
