At Aster, we believe in nurturing confident communicators, and our Speaking Activity is an important step in that journey. In this activity, students receive a worksheet with three to four engaging topics, select one, and spend five minutes brainstorming ideas and organizing their thoughts. They then present one-on-one to the teacher, sharing meaningful points, examples, and personal insights.
This regular practice helps build confidence in expressing ideas and improves fluency, clarity, and vocabulary. It also encourages critical thinking and structured speaking, strengthening both listening and presentation skills. Most importantly, it gradually reduces stage fear through consistent exposure and guidance.

During Genius Hour, Umaiza from Grade 6 explored her passion for glass painting. What began as a simple interest grew into a creative journey as she practiced techniques, experimented with colors, and brought her ideas to life on glass.
Taking her project a step further, Umaiza even designed her own Glass Painting Kits, allowing others to experience this beautiful art form.
