With patience, care, and teamwork, they handled each plant responsibly, ensuring it continues to thrive. This hands-on experience helped them develop essential life skills like responsibility, observation, and environmental awareness.

Eid is a celebration of joy, gratitude, and togetherness. Our students shared what this special occasion means to them as they spoke about their favorite Eid memories, what they love most about the celebration, and the moments they look forward to every year.

From family gatherings and festive traditions to the happiness of sharing and giving, their responses beautifully reflect the warmth and excitement that Eid brings. They also spoke about the meaningful values learned during Ramadan—kindness, patience, gratitude, and generosity—and how these teachings can continue beyond the holy month.

At Aster, we believe in nurturing confident communicators, and our Speaking Activity is an important step in that journey. In this activity, students receive a worksheet with three to four engaging topics, select one, and spend five minutes brainstorming ideas and organizing their thoughts. They then present one-on-one to the teacher, sharing meaningful points, examples, and personal insights.

This regular practice helps build confidence in expressing ideas and improves fluency, clarity, and vocabulary. It also encourages critical thinking and structured speaking, strengthening both listening and presentation skills. Most importantly, it gradually reduces stage fear through consistent exposure and guidance.

Through activities like these, we support holistic development and help learners grow into confident, articulate speakers.

During Genius Hour, Umaiza from Grade 6 explored her passion for glass painting. What began as a simple interest grew into a creative journey as she practiced techniques, experimented with colors, and brought her ideas to life on glass.

Taking her project a step further, Umaiza even designed her own Glass Painting Kits, allowing others to experience this beautiful art form.

Her project is a wonderful example of how Genius Hour empowers students to explore their passions and turn creative ideas into meaningful projects. We are proud of Umaiza for sharing her talent and inspiring others.
