HIRING TEACHERS

Beacon Light Academy (Gulshan-e-Maymar, Secondary Campus) is inviting applications for the full-time positions listed below for the academic session 2024-2025, commencing in August 2024.

1) Chemistry Teacher for O levels (The applicant must be a Science graduate with relevant prior experience)

2) Accounting Teacher for O levels (The applicant must be an Accounts/Business graduate with relevant prior experience)

3) English Teacher for Secondary classes (The applicant must be a graduate with excellent written and verbal communication skills with relevant prior experience)

4) Islamiyat (in English) Teacher for O levels (The applicant must be a graduate preferably in Islamic Studies with good spoken and written English skills)

5) Pakistan Studies Teacher for Higher Secondary classes (The applicant must be a graduate with good English language skills and rich teaching experience in the same)

6) Urdu Teachers for Secondary classes (The applicant must have a graduate degree with excellent written and verbal Urdu skills with relevant prior experience)

RESOURCE TEACHERS (for Grade 4) are required for campuses located in Gulzar-e-Hijri & Gulshan e Maymar, Karachi

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The students who fall below grade level but because of their age they cannot be held back in the same class. Therefore we move them up to the next class. Assessing those students on the basis of an individualized educational plan (IEP) is carried out by the resource teacher. This plan includes many multisensory techniques and graded activities to teach concepts being taught in class but at a slower pace. These activities have to be planned, conducted, closely supervised and followed up regularly by the resource teacher. Resource teacher works under the guidance of school headmistress and school psychologist. Responsibilities also include coordinating with other teachers for guidance on course content covered in class and regular communication with the parent through school approved mediums (google classroom, app and in person meetings)

REQUIREMENTS:

• The applicant must have a degree in special education/psychology. Teaching experience with primary classes would be a plus.
• Must have background knowledge of learning difficulties, and ADHD
• Should be competent and creative to develop teaching strategies to cater to children with ADHD and learning difficulties.
• Must have good English spoken and written skills
